A surprisingly wide range of fish, which included turbot, gurnard and large dover sole. Lots of shellfish too.All really fresh. We enjoyed large prawns, a massive crab, and delicious salmon.The Freshwater shop prepared our order in advance, packed in ice, ready to collect for the journey home.Great service from friendly people. Thank you.

Excellent quality lobster and spicy hot smoked salmon. Price was proper tourist rates but if you want quality and you want this place to stay open (unlike most of Freshwater) then I guess the price is justified. Selection of fresh fish is great plus it looks like everything is local. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Best fresh fish shop around.. We are so lucky to have J&B Fisheries in Freshwater Andy is always there to give advice and assistance. Prices are very reasonable, and the fish are caught locally.

I used to buy the prawns (prepared/shell on), from J&B when I had to travel to Freshwater (from Chillerton) for my part time job on Saturday mornings and other times. And now I am not going to my pt job I was thrilled to know they deliver to Chillerton.I have found the prawns are absolutely delicious. Having lived in France-Normandie and Brittany - I was used to accessing seafood easily at Supermarkets and Fish stalls/shops.Unfortunately when I moved here the 'fish shop' in Newport disappeared not long after; and 'for me' I could not access the type of quality I had been used to in France, in the Supermarkets. (no disrespect to our great supermarkets but a designated place in a supermarket in France would be covered in produce, and prawns, oysters, mussels etc were readily available).In addition the staff I met at J&B are ultra friendly and the happy ambience is what one might have found in days gone by. (ps that's a compliment!!)So, for me - having just eaten a quota of my freshly delivered prawns for lunch (the rest are staying cool (until this evening when I have another portion) and will probably last me for at least another 3 days) I can say they are absolutely DELISH!!!If you love fish......definitely recommend trying!Wish you were even closer J&B!!!Thanks, Marilyn Thorpe (from Chillerton)
