The Phantom Coach
It's the first time I have visited since the refurbishment and I was pleasantly surprised. It felt cleaner and fresher although still retaining layout. The food in my opinion has always been hit and miss but this time was definitely a hit. My only criticism is I think there's too much to choose from on the menu.All in all a lovely visit and would definitely recommend.

We have visited every week since it reopened. We get great and friendly service. The meals are really nice and price is competitive. Nice décor and nice ambience. Only ever had one problem. Two weeks ago the chips were dreadful but that aside we are very happy indeed with the phantom coach

The Phantom Coach
Return visit for breakfast this morning. Excellent quality bacon and sausage. Very tasty tomato and fried egg. Generous free top-up coffee and teas.Previous visit last Friday - very disappointed with the chicken fajitas served at lunch today . The portion size was tiny compared with the photo on the email promotion and the vegetable pieces were stuck to the skillet There was no sizzling to the dish either. The avocado was not edible.Ordered a small portion of gammon but charged a received main dish.

I came to into the pub last night for a meal 7 th Nov 2023 .My wife has a severe allergy to rapeseed oil and all I can say is that the young lady behind the bar was absolutely fantastic with her service and helping with the food choices to cater for her allergy . Sorry did not get the ladies name !The kitchen catered for my wife’s needs perfectly and the service and food was absolutely brilliant.I have been to this pub on previous occasions and always found the food excellent.Many thanks to the staff and big thumbs up to the lady on the bar for her excellent customer service .

Husband liked his big breakfast but found the potato things too greasy. The vegan breakfast was very nice. But dry toast!!. And no vegan milk for my coffee. Come on!. Its 2023. Most places seem to manage it ok. How come they can and you can't. I think you need to think about it. Because I won't be back. And with me goes my friends and family. Just because you wouldn't fork out 2 or 3 pounds on vegan butter and milk. I've heard every excuse not to provide these simple cheap things, from cost(its cheap)to allergy worries(no worse than a dairy allergy and you provide dairy milk) There is no excuse for not providing vegan butter and milk.

Had a lovely family lunch today in this refurbished pub. Really well and newly presented throughout and the food matched it. Great, reasonably priced selection of food, delicious scampi, battered fish and chicken kebab sizzler courses with chips served to us promptly and with a smile. Nice garden also. Very nice atmosphere. The food equalled and possibly surpassed my local eateries in South Warwickshire and far more affordable. Good sized portions too on a comprehensive menu. Well done! Will return!

The service, especially Ian was quick and smiling. Also, I saw other waitresses helping a lot of customers. The bar staff were friendly and patient, even though there were a lot of customers. The food was amazing and really cheap too.
