Reading Post Office

I do not really want to leave a bad review.At this post office, the counter staff had a bad attitude. My parcel was delivered to this post office, and I asked them to look; one of the counter ladies said no parcel had been delivered, but other guys helped me find it.And every time I have been there, the counter is very slow, 30 mins plus!The worst service I have ever seen!0 star tbh

Queue can be long but there’s a very helpful tall man with dark hair who tends to people in the queue directing them to the right place and helps customers at the self service tills. He does an excellent job at keeping the queue down and is very attentive.

Shocking. Waited twenty five mins to get to front only to be told that a woman who had been selected from back of queue to skip the line (because she seemed to know one of the staff) was using the only printer and I would therefore have to wait for her to be done. Fifteen minutes later, still no service and I had to leave because my lunch break was over. Forty minutes to not get served. Why they only have two people on during the lunchtime rush is beyond me.

Abysmal, staff who are there are trying their best but there needs to be a MIMIMUM of three counter staff & one roaming staff member to keep wait times low. I've often waited 45-60 mins for a service that is impossible online or via self service. Terrible for a town the size of Reading, I thought the previous post office on the corner of the Butter Market in, Reading, was bad, I didnt realise those were the halcyon days!Edit - minutes later after posting this review I went in on a saturday with only one person in front of me! Joy I thought, still a 25 min wait & the counter staff couldnt type in an 8 digit account number for the lady ahead, of me, who had to repeatedly vocalise it. Hell, I could recite it after the first 3 times!

Najma was super helpful today when I came in to tax my vehicle. I was unable to do so online and she made sure we completed before I left. Thumbs up Najma.

Incredibly slow. Queues move at a glacial pace. Staff behind the counter very inefficient and don’t seem botheredIf you ever have to come to the counter, make sure you have at least 30 min to spare

The female staff was efficient, fast and knowledgeable to quickly complete my digital passport application to my satisfaction. Unfortunately there was a ten deep queue before I reached the counter in 18 minutes one Tuesday afternoon. There were only two female staffs were behind the counter.Besides, the post office is located on the 1st floor and one can take the escalator but sadly you have to use the stairs to get down.

1 person working the tills with 10 people waiting. All 4 self service tills out of use. You’d think for a main town centre postoffice they’d be bothered hiring more people.Will be going out my way to broad street shop from now on very friendly, quick service.
