Went here early last week about 12:00 had a beautiful fresh fish served with marrowfat peas- peas where more than disapointing but hey. This week served with Garden peas instead of mushy peas... Really?? No no absolutely no. And the fish clearly all been fried at midday not fresh like last week. They speak very little English so it's hard to tell them what you want. Won't go for fish again but the kebabs are nice. Been twice since and had half cooked cold chips each time. Just give it a miss guys.

Bought two doner on chips and a pie, cheapest doner meat ever that was laying in a bain marire before being served with chips that where fried in old oil, the pie had been microwaved and still cold, the whole meal was disgusting, save your pocket and taste buds.

Can't give 0 stars sadly. Oven chips fried, pies and sausages reheated beyond anything you can call tasty. Prices hidden and ridiculously high. This used to be Steve's and was a good chippy, now its just a tasteless ripoff. Stay away.

The fish and chips here are atrocious and the salt and pepper chicken is not even salt and pepper chicken will never be ordering from here again

Ordered from The Fish Bar quite a few times since new management took over and the food is always fresh and tasty no matter if it’s Chinese, pizza, burger or fish and chips. The staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone local to the area

When City Fish Bar first took over from what was Steve's Fish Bar the first few meals we had were really lovely. Sadly, this is no longer the case.I knew when placing the order over the phone that things might go wrong because the guy who answered seemed in a rush to get me off the phone. I made sure I went through the order again to make sure he knew what I wanted.When the food come after 50 minutes the order was wrong (not the first time this has happened either) and what did arrive was cold. The pie was rock hard and went straight in the bin, totally inedible. I called back to explain about the missing items, and to be fair they sorted this out immediately but we didn't enjoy any part of the food. The boiled rice was all congealed, stodgy and unappetising. Won't be ordering again.
