Staff friendly ,decent selection of books for all ages

A small community type library with a few computers for use, and printer/copier, a fare range of books, both adults and children's, also a small children's play area. In the same building they offer an impressive range of services such as Adult book club, knit and natter, trace your family history, story time for pre school children, even code learning for children wanting to know about computer language. Large print books are available and although seemingly quaint today, cd's and dvd's as well. The building is centrally located in Hessle and is fairly modern, I'm not sure about toilet facilities being available likewise disabled toilet facilities, a phone call should put your mind at rest. There is a quiet reading area but bare in mind that is not a separate room from the rest of the library, as seems to be the case these days there is a website.

Our book club meets once a month inside the library. Both Jo and Sarah are very accimadating and helpful.

Great library but serves as more of a community space above all else. There isn’t a vast array of books or educational materials on offer. Easy access to East Riding Council services and printing facilities as well as computers which must be booked in advance of a visit.Location also serves as a PokéStop for players of Niantics Pokémon Go with a Pokémon Gym also within swiping distance of the premises

Great open space to the Hessle and wider community. I live the fact they give out 2 free caddy liners per household as in the current day it is needed.But no toilets on site is quite annoying as I think there should be as longer clubs take place.

My partner was in the Library and was informed there are no public toilets or changing facilitys onsite to change a child's nappy. The responce by the staff to my partner when asked why well thats just the way it is" I find disrespectful and out of touch for the needs of its visitors."

Always a lovely afternoon with friends at the library for our Knit and Natter Group.
