Single story extension, 2020We had been looking for a company to take care of the full end to end (planning submissions, architect drawings, building control etc) and had struggled to find one that we had confidence in and at a decent price. Add a room ticked all the boxes and were able to start in a decent time frame.Couldn’t be happier with the finished product, and appreciate all that Jon, Gary and Steve did to support throughout. We used Add A Room this summer for a loft conversion. From our initial consultation, we were extremely impressed. They listened to our requirements and rather than try and include unnecessary items produced a plan that was to our specification. We were lucky that one of their building teams became available and the project was able to proceed almost immediately. I have nothing but praise for the quality and speed of the work produced by Artan and his team, and also the project management, which took away much of the pain normally associated with building work. Would recommend to anyone looking to have this type of work on their house.

We are so pleased with our lovely loft conversion. Add A Room's builder Artan is a master builder - it was a pleasure to have him and his team in our home. They were punctual, polite, tidy and professional. The finish is exceptional, and they made the process as clean and efficient as possible. We were impressed by how they listened to our desires, accommodated our requests and gave us good advice when we weren't sure when there were choices to be made. The Add A Room methodology is very comforting and helpful, as they made each stage and the pricing clear from the start. They are professional and good at what they do. We had a couple of issues that arose around a new chimney and fireplace, but we were pleased to be able to deal with them amicably and fairly. We have recommended Add A Room to our friends and would recommend Artan to anyone as he is a fantastic builder.

We used Add a Room for a single storey bungalow extension in 2021. From the first visit to the final sign off Add a Room were professional, efficient and very helpful. Jon, Gary, Steve and the team have done a wonderful job with the extension and kitchen fit. We are incredibly happy with the end result which our friends and family agree has been very professionally done. From the plans to the build itself, the external render to the floor fit, it has has all been done to a quality standard. Thank you for transforming our home for us!

My wife and I did quite a bit of research as there is a wide range of companies or independent builders out there. However in the end we went with add a room as they were recommended by 2 friends who have done work with them. Add a room provided a competitive quote compared to all the other companies we worked with and delivered a great service. We had them build an extension to our edwardian terrace, rewire the ground floor, and build a cloak room under the stairs.There were different delays along the way due to things we ordered. However add a room were very flexible in accommodating these changes. Their team always showed up on time, and left the site tidy at the end of the day. I would also highly recommend our project lead (Artan). He is lovely to work with, very honest, and easily reachable.

A great overall experience. Unable to secure any personal recommendations from friends and family, I took to undertaking my own research for a professional one-stop building company who could take the pain out of home renovations. Having come across Add A Room, I checked out their reviews, which all had a similar theme of customers praising the building teams used by AAR. There were a couple of bad reviews from years ago, but these were clearly relating to another company with a similar name. Having seen an AAR advertising board outside a home on the mother-in-law's housing estate, the mother-in-law didn't need asking twice to go and knock on the door for a verbal reference. This was glowing and they'd been recommended by two local friends. That gave me the reassurance I needed to contact AAR. I was never expecting AAR to be the cheapest, but with all the scare stories out there, I was happy to pay that premium for my own piece of mind. AAR assigned our project to Artan of ATP Construction Ltd, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Once the project started, Artan and his great team were punctual and very tidy, 6 days a week. Artan was always contactable and responsive. Artan had wider team contacts across all trades, allowing them to coordinate perfectly. Our experience of Artan and his team was outstanding. Our building works began around September, was finished in November and we were decorated and furnished in time for Christmas. For anyone about to commit to a major building project for their home, who doesn't want the stress, risk, time burden and aggravation of coordinating it yourself, I would highly recommend speaking to Add A Room. My advice to myself if doing this again is to think about the small things - where should the lights/switches/sockets be, where are the radiators going, if that door/wall is exactly there does it perfectly fit your furniture, or does it need moving a cm or 2?

Loft conversionThe project manager (Artan) and his team were fantastic. Everything was done to a high standard, they were friendly, considerate and trustworthy. I have never known builders to clean up after themselves so well either!Artan and his work deserve 5 stars without a doubt. However, giving Add a room 4 stars just because of some communication issues. Nothing major, but it was frustrating when we had to chase to find out what was going on. I understand that delays happen, but it would of been less stressful to have kept us informed.Would recommend and use again.

Loft conversion - December 2020Having had rough quotes from a variety of contractors, Add a Room were a pleasure to deal with from the get go. Having a company that can take an idea and turn it into the finished product (Inc drawing, build regs, dealing with council) made the decision to use them the best we could have made.The team were polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Every day the team ensured the site was left tidy and we were kept fully updated with all developments.No hesitation in using again, and will do for a rear extension when funds allow.All the best.

We really can’t recommend Add A Room enough. To be honest we were slightly worried about having the work done and thought it would be stressful. However, from the first visit from Gary who has been amazing throughout the whole build, it has actually been an enjoyable experience.Artan and his team are by far the best builders we have come across. Artan has been so helpful and wants everything done perfectly. His whole team have been so polite, calm and mindful that we have been living here while the works been going on. On the whole I had a good experience. With Add A Room.The first visit with Gary was really great he made the impossible seem possible and he help my long term dream come true.My local authority planning department was a complete nightmare and the delay caused a price increase before my plans was agreed. Add A Room was empathetic and we negotiated this.Most of all Add A Room sent me The Master Builder Artan. He and his team was skilful knowledge and left my home safe and secure and tidy every day. They kept to time and it was a miracle the way they mocked downthe old and built the new. they have made my home beautiful.
