The Merlin
the kitchen was disgusting. every time the waiters opened the doors you could see how bad it was so i had to take a photo. the food was under cooked my chicken was cold and pink. there we no knifes and forks avalible until about 20 minutes after the food came out so all the food was cold. over all nice restaurant just very unsanitary and not great service.

Good pub, dart board and pool table screens for the football in the bar.Good deals on the food drinks steep but download the app for discounts.Second part of review: I've lowered the stars on the food as second visit back and I had the roasted veg lasagna which came out all burnt and I couldn't eat it. The staff changed it for the fish and chips but that too came out undercooked batter and water coming out of the fish after I opened it like it had been fried too fash on the outside and still defrosting on my plate from the inside. Hunters chicken okay presentation was really bad.

I visited at 5.30pm on a Monday afternoon and there were choice of tables to sit at. The pub was half full and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food arrived in 15 minutes from ordering. I had the vegan mushroom pie which was much nicer than expected. For desserts we had chocolate fudge cake and vegan berry crumble both of which were good. I would definitely visit again. We used the app to order which automatically applied a promotion offer on pub classics"

I ate twice, once for breakfast and another for lunch on consecutive days. The service was good and the price reasonable, but the food tasted quite flat, as though salt was the only seasoning that was used.

Average food, quick service, always very busy. You know what to expect in a chain pub like this. Grandaughter and husband shared one of their large desserts which was good.

This pub is incredible especially with the every growing cost of Eating out. Myself ordering a main side and drink coming a grain over £18 was incredible. The service here cannot be faulted, Jessie and Max were amazing checking up on our food and how we were. The atmosphere is amazing and appropriate for anyone including those with kids. Cannot recommend enough.

The speed of what the food is ordered and then placed in front of you is probably one of the fastest services iv come across, and the food has always been great the only reason for the 4/5 stars for food is because of the kids menu. I personally feel that there could be a wider range of choices of food and drinks for the kids and maybe a range of portion sizes. My two are 6 &4, so adult meals are too much and the kids' meals aren't quite big enough. That being said, overall we would always recommend The Merlin.

We haven't eaten here for donkeys even though we live really close, this was because at the time, the food and or the service wasn't up to scratch, however we went in yesterday on the off chance and really enjoyed the experience. We had the chicken new yorker and tandoori chicken sizzler from the super specials menu and then crumble and sticky toffee pud for desserts. All delicious and all affordable. Well done all
