Amazed at how wonderful this little place is for young families and train fans.3 different train rides, warm cafe with good menu options and a little play corner. Train sets on display and buttons to press.Improvements would be to the outside play area and a separate coffee stand/carriage for outside picnic area (for speed)

Great place for young and old. Two 00 layouts to look at. Also full-sized diesel engine ride up the line for about 20 minutes with a stop over at the other end, that we went on. Also two smaller gauge railways you can ride on. Woodland walk too.

Had a brilliant day at the east Kent railway, the team were so friendly. I was on the driving experience which I can 100% recommend. Would definitely visit again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unbelievable experience, the team there couldn’t haven’t been nicer, real experts, and they made our day so good.Recommended to anyone looking to for a great day out learning to operate a train.Top lads and brilliant train driving experience.

Lovely little attraction to visit, attended on bank holiday Monday and wasn't too busy. Lovely atmosphere from all the workers and people visiting. Five pounds for a return journey is a bargain.

Went on a holiday and they opened at 10 am. Had a train ride at 10.45 am at a cost of 2 pounds per person. We all enjoyed it a lot and it’s a definitely worth train ride. Toilets were clean and free parking. A place to enjoy by the kids. Recommended for a half day visit.

It’s a shame that they don’t have enough volunteers working on site, so when we are here on Wednesday, we can only visit a number of displays outside.Very loving working staffs around and willing to help with info. We will return soon ☺️2022.3.29

Very impressed with dedication and enthusiasm of the amazing volunteers who keep history and heritage alive. Mining is part of Kent history and the trains played a major role. There is a cafe at each end. Toilets too. The woodland railway was so cute. The model railways in the victoriana carriages was impressive, such detail and imagination. Large car park once you drive through past the 'normal' station, follow the signs. £8 per adult. The train itself is not that long but sitting in the old carriages is like stepping back in time. Very nostalgic.
