What a fabulous day out at Skylark Garden . Great large and mini maize , has a catapult water fight area (take spare cloths unless warm day), zip wire, go karts for adults and children well supervised by staff , large bouncy beach castle , giant haystack to climbe , 3 large Tower sack floors, tractor rides, scarecrow ball shooter, 2pm pig racers , great excitement seeing them run around circuit. Plenty of eating and drinking places. Family ticket very good value, all staff fantastic and attentive to rides ,

Cafe selling nice cakes (including choice of gluten free options) and other items but a bit pricey and I think we had the new boy who knew nothing about the menu and had to ask about everything! Shop sold nice range of gifts and garden items. Maize maze on premises is operated independently and is an expensive day out, not just something to add on to the shopping.

What it is, is, you never quite know what to expect from Skylark. Today it's full of Christmas, a supreme toasted teacake and perfectly percolated coffee. Extraordinary, as ever.Probably the very best cheese scone I've ever tasted: warm from the oven with plenty of butter. Sensational.

Decided to visit for a weekend brunch and to see the Christmas offers. Santa's grotto seemed well attended and as well as the regular cafe there were hot drinks and snacks being served outside. I was seated in the cafe and ordered a pot of tea and the mushroom and halloumi burger. It contains lovely fresh salad and a generous layer of pesto that really adds a nice tang. The Portabello mushroom was firm, juicy and cooked well. The slight downside was that the mushroom had released a lot of water during the cooking process and either had not been blotted prior to being put in the burger, or not allowed to rest after the cooking process. The result was structural failure at the halfway mark. The moisture from the mushroom had soaked the upper bun and it could no longer be picked up. This will have been in mart because the bun otself was a floury variety. A wholewheat or brioche may have been a litte more robust. It did not detract from the flavour and the bun to content ratio was spot on. I did give this feedback to my waitress, so I am hopeful that it was received in the helpful manner it was intended.

We not only went to the garden centre but also spent the day at the Maze and play park. Great fun for the children (it was not busy when we were there). Ample free parking with several options for food and drink (I can personally recommend the ploughman's!) All in all, a great family day out!

We visited again November 2023. This was for trip out, thanks to my daughter and son-in-law. I had a really good, appetising, tasty Sunday lunch.Later I took a few photos of the 4 pygmy goats. Really brilliant.Very good selection of all things garden related.Some were too expensive for me, others good value.Toilets very clean, with sanitiser available.Only let down for me, and anyone who has walking/standing problems was the lack of any seating, except in the café. Home now and suffering from walking too far.

Had breakfast in the cafe. First class ingredients used. Very friendly staff. It was extremely busy, but the service was excellent. They took part in the two minutes silence for remembrance Sunday, which was lovely. Would recommend

We had a lovely, tasty lunch. The Lasagne was hot and yummy.They were quite busy, but the server was attentive, apologised for the delay.We actually did not feel like we waited that long.Very well done!

Beautiful garden centre, wouldn't say it is massive but a good size! Love all the local food and drink selections.The cafe...It is amazing! Breakfasts are the best around, absolutely stunning, fresh, and perfectly cooked, kudos to the chef! The staff are always so lovely, thank you!!
