I've been going to palace motors for over 5 years. I've since moved from Crouch End to Clapton and I still go back here because of how reliable and trustworthy I find them. Theo and Roy are a pleasure to deal with and always willing to help with last minute emergencies, even when they are busy they always try to help when they can.

Called & then dropped by-rear number plate screws rusted so plate had to be fixed back on. They used double-sided tape-did the job-no charge-very helpful. I've used them before & highly recommend them.

The best ever experience I had in a garage. I mean these people are pretty unique nowadays. I took my car this morning thinking that they were going to tell me that the price was going to be crazy. I literally thought I would have to get rid of my car because the cost of mending it was going to be higher than the actual price of my old car. To my surprise, they call me to say the car is ready and the cost of the fix is £50? I haven't met so honest people in so long!!! I made clear to them this morning that I imagined the cost of repairing was going to be very high and they didn't take advantage of that knowledge. Thank you so so much, this is the most honest place I have ever been and you just made me have faith that there are still honest garages!!!. Thank you, thank you, thank youuuuu. I am recommending you to everyone I know!

Uncommunicative and dismissive. Better off going elsewhere if you want you car fixed or even parked near the garage.

Extremely rude, arrogant and expensive. A very unpleasant experience here overall. Here is what happened... I ask for a quote for the standard 36k mile service of my car according to the service book. The service book is specific and explicit in what work needs to be carried out. I am told that is going to cost 195.40 + VAT from the garage so I agree and I drop the car-off (and the service book with them so we are clear about what they will do). The owner calls me a few hours later me to tell me that they need to change the brake fluid and want to charge me another 50 + VAT for this plus another 30 + VAT for the rear window wiper and a tyre for 50. Now... I remember that the brake fluid change is part of the service and tell him so. He rudely says that it's not, I say that it is, we have a back and forth, while him being inexcusably rude to me (his customer!). Eventually he acknowledges misunderstanding on his part but still insists to want to charge in full me despite his clear mistake. I kindly ask him to take responsibility for what he clearly quoted to me but he doesn't. I refuse to pay his inflated bill so his mistake now becomes my problem. I have lost a day of my time and now I have to take more time off and find a new place to take the car for service. Luckily I find G&N motors less than a mile away. What a difference in customer experience. A pleasant and friendly welcome, and a professional service to the book that also comes a lot cheaper to what Palace quoted in terms of Labour. And that's when I realise that Palace systematically overcharge material (and I am happy to see that other customers below in the reviews have noticed that). G&N charged me for the rear window wiper £16 instead of £30 that palace wanted, £45 instead of £50 for the tire. If you want to be treated like dirt and pay almost double of what materials and labour normally cost then go to Palace Motors. I would avoid like the plague.

My car went for engine diagnostics after a warning light came on.Their diagnosis called for a new engine control unit at £1200.00 + Labour + Vat- a very costly repair.I paid Palace Motors £240.00 for the diagnosis and took the car to a specialist whose diagnosis was very different:They changed a fuel injector which cost £240.00 + labour a significant difference....

Took my car gear on recommendations from friends with classic cars after being hit for a crash repair. They looked at the car, quoted me, I tried to book it in , they said they had to wait to hear back from the body shop. I told them to book it. Called them a couple times in the week, said they were still waiting on the body shop. It snowed, they told me the body shop now has a 2 month wait list. I said that’s fine and to book it in. For a whole month I kept calling them about 3 times a week, every time they said they’d get back to me. Not once did they call me back. They didn’t get my car booked in and it’s just meant for a month I don’t have a car. Finally I decided to take it somewhere else and got it sorted that week. They seemed like nice guys but just terrible service and I guess they thought they had more important jobs on .

Fantastic experience at Palace Motors this morning! I recently had my alloys done and was advised to get the wheel and lock nuts checked within the first ten miles of driving. I called up Palace and they told me to pop in Saturday morning and they’d check it. They saw me immediately and despite it being fiddly to do and taking a little time there was no charge. Would highly recommend!

They’re brilliant. After having some stupidly hefty bills from other garages, like £2500 hefty, these guys always hook me up for good price. Go there, let them look after your car

The best garage in London. Ignore any of these negative reviews, if you know about cars and want your cars to work and have the most reliable parts, go to Palace Motors. The difference between them and other garages are that they are honest. I've been going to them for 9 years with my classic Porsche and two old Fords. I'm a racing driver and still use other garages but if you want strange problems diagnosed and fixed quickly these are the guys you need. The staff are always very friendly and they do their best to fit you in at short notice, even if you arrive on the back of a trailer...
