I didnt listen to the reviews . I should have . Ordered through Justeat . Food took over an hour to come. Basically every element of the order was wrong ahaha. Ordered vegetable noodle soup , crispy snack" noodles came instead . Me and my partner had to share my singular portion of noodles

Ordered on Just eat at 22:45 but didn't get my food until midnight. Phoned a couple of times and they were very polite but I wasn't convinced that the food was ready and waiting for the driver. I was reading the horror stories on the reviews while I was waiting but, to be honest, when it did finally arrive, it was very nice. Loads of good quality chicken in my curry (the sauce was a bit glutenous but was enjoyable once mixed with the egg-fried rice (which was delicious). As the meal came so late, I had the chicken chow mien for lunch today and it was really good. I will use again but allow an extra hour.

DONT NOT EAT FROM HERE YOU WILL HATE IT. PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF. I CANT NOT BELIEVE HOW BAD THE FOOD WAS I BOUGHT IT BACK TO THE SHOP. I DID NOT EAT IT, IT LOOKED NASTY. THE WORST PLACE EVER.

Used to love this place even though delivery was always on the slow side. However they falsely marked themselves as permanently closed on here to avoid further bad reviews and last night I had the worst experience with them they already gave me an extremely long delivery time, but were later than even that. When I checked my delivery, most of it was missing, we are talking two appetisers, three main courses and fried rice. Only noodles and crispy seaweed were there. Of course they conveniently sent the order out so late that they were closed by the time it was delivered. Either they deliberately only delivered these few items or they carelessly left 75% of my order on the side and didn't give it to the delivery driver. Either way it is not good. I was a loyal customer who has been ordering from them for two years. Thankfully I was able to get a full refund from Just Eat but I will never order from Roman Empire again.

This food made me very ill indeed. There was hardly any beef in my Chow Mein. The noodles tasted undercooked and the veg was bland. The wait time was riddiclous! If the health and safety inspectors go to this place then it's only a matter of time before they get shut down. Avoid at all costs!!!

The prawn toast & chicken satay were the best part of this meal. Ordered Mix Hor O’oeuvres of vegetarian spring rolls, seaweed, spare ribs, sesame prawn toast & satay chicken on skewers. Chicken fried rice was bland and not authentic at all.

A Chinese is a treat, so when this arrived we was looking forward to it, one bite into the prawn toast & it tasted off and metallic - nasty. The hing Kong pork was so tough and dry not even sweet & sour sauce could do anything for it, the fried rice was brown with no taste or sight of egg, the only thing that actually was alright was the crispy chilli beef! Well disappointed

Fancied a Chinese on a Friday night and I chose them on Just Eat. Wasn't aware of the bad ratings/ reviews before I ordered. Was worried. As it transpired, it was a good service. Food arrived on time (they were 10 mins away), food was still warm (soup was hot enough) and it tasted decent. No complaints. They were trying, at least with me.
