The White Swan
Update 6/23: visited for my daughter's birthday for their Wednesday Wine & Dine. She thoroughly enjoyed it (as did we all). It's a three-course set menu for £29.50 (£39.50 with matching wine), which is great value for a Michelin Guide restaurant. Everything was excellent from the pre-ordered cocktail on arrival through to the dessert. The food is really high quality, though maybe sometimes the flavours are too subtle, e.g. the smoked broth with the fish main was almost undetectably smoky.I also think the lack of choice on the Wednesday menu might put some people off: alternatives are available on request but will/do people take up that option?Nevertheless a great experience and highly recommended.

My wife booked this place for me for my 40th birthday. This is an incredible restaurant tucked away in a quiet spot. This is prime example of a 'hidden gem'.The food was absolutely exceptional and every course was explained down to a tee.Another great service they offered was a Le Sommelier, giving some great advice on the wide range if wines they had on offer.The service at this place is at a very high quality. Every member of staff were very welcoming and friendly.I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a special place to have an intimate dinner.

Superb food. Wonderfully cooked and you know the ingredients are well thought out so they pair perfectly. Alex was our waitress and was fantastic. If they did 6 stars, I'd give it to them. Wonderful food and service.

The White Swan
I attended The White Swan last night for the seven course tasting menu. I loved the spacious layout of the dining area and the light decor. The staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable and made the visit even more pleasurable. The food was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t fault it in any way. I loved that all of the courses were extremely different but all flowed together. I will be happy to recommend to all my friends and will return.

What a lovely bday celebration dinner at this restaurant!They were super accommodating about food restrictions and service was lovely.The tomato soup was amazing in taste and also top marks for the ham hocks and dessert. The accompanying wine selections were also top notch and I encountered one of the best Malbec’s that have had in a while.Definitely hope to return and absolutely recommend

I wouldn’t recommend visiting here.Few reasons. Firstly, we weren’t offered a drink before seating but straight to a table.When being seating (almost immediately - no host present) we were located on a table which was clearly difficult to access for two out of six of us. This meant the waitering staff struggled to access us and passed our plates over another on our table, it isn’t what you expect from a tasting menu ‘restaurant’.Another issue we had was that there was only one bottle left of a particular bottle of wine and not enough for a glass - which is what it we requested. Rather than offering different, they brought the bottle and served it, No information given about the wine and on the bill at the end. Completely unclear about the price and no response from the staff member at the end when we queried that this was the most expensive bottle of wine on the white wine list. Unreasonable response and not what we would expect from the service at a restaurant of this ‘standard’.I think the food was interesting / good but not amazing and it wouldn’t be enough to entice me to visit again.

Everything was perfect. Had to give 5 stars for all aspects. Expectations were high as we had heard very good things from friends (it’s not somewhere you would stumble upon as it’s hidden away in a tiny village not far from Junction 1 Rugby Services. Wanted to try all the menu items. Already booked in our next visit!

Had a lunch meal here on a Saturday. From the moment we walked in the service was great. It is dog friendly in the bar area also. Lovely building. Staff were great & service. Food was exceptional, very tasty & we presented. Menu was also great. Highly recommend & will definitely be going back.

A couple of months ago we ate at Raymond Blanc's 2 star Michelin restaurant. We've just eaten at The White Swan and I can honestly say the food was better tonight. Thank you White Swan for a wonderful experience!
