Abysmal customer service.I ordered shutters in September and paid half upfront. I was assured that the shutters would be in before Christmas. They arrived late January and 2 had been measured wrong. I waited 4 months and had to ring to see if we had been forgotten about. She gave no apology. The replacement shutters hadn't been ordered obviously. I have finally had them fitted (mid July). There was no discount negotiated for all the stress and anxiety. Absolutely rubbish treatment. Wish I had gone to Hillarys10 months from ordering to completion!

I am honestly shocked by some of the reviews on here.... That is NOT the experience i have just had!From measuring to fitting it's been great... Ok fitting took longer that i was initially happy with once i knew they had my shutters but they are a small company and it's been worth the wait to be fair... Rebecca has had good communication with me when needed.... Fitters were friendly, respectful of property and had good chat.... So unless they fall off my windows then it's a 5* from me

The Shutter Expert fitted blinds in our house which over half were measured incorrectly, they took me to court as i refused to pay the remainder amount & had to get Hilarys Blinds to replace all the faulty blinds . Hilarys Blinds were amazingThe judge dismissed their case and I was awarded my counterclaim which I won plus court charges.The arrogance of this company refusing to repay the court order sums them up !Do not order blinds from The Shutter Expert as all reviews which have a complaint against them are removed .I wouldn't want any one else to go through the hell this company has put us through since July last year

Absolutely love our shutters. Becky came and measured up and said it would be a 3 month lead time on the blinds and it was more or less exactly 3 months to the day.Fantastic price, we really couldn't ask for more.After reading some of the reviews I'm shocked because that's not how we found them at all.Thank you we are happy customers.

I will start by saying that the quality of materials is good, however I’ve been left with poor products and the customer service is somewhere between abysmal and disgusting.Firstly, they didn’t turn up for the appointment to measure my windows and didn’t contact me to say they wouldn’t be coming.With hindsight I should have walked away at that point.Of the 5 vertical blinds I had fitted, 2 are perfect but 3 are poor.One is a fair but shorter than the others. This is extremely frustrating as the company did all of the measuring and I’d paid the extra for blackout blinds.Two of the have very loose pull chords which means that it hangs very loose when the blinds are retracted.They look awful.One of the blinds has the bracket for the ‘controls’ missing.Simply enough to rectify if they actually cared once they have your money.Finally, the customer service….As I said, they missed the appointment for measuring.I took the morning off work to wait in and was let down with no warning or apology.They turned up to the rescheduled appoint, we’re polite and all went well.I wasn’t at home for the fitting, but the guy waited 15 minutes for my friend to arrive with the key, and then did a great, neat job of fitting them (barring the forgotten bracket, but we all make mistakes).When I contacted them to try and rectify the 3 that are below standard, the replies became very slow.I was told “That’s how they’re supposed to be”.When I asked how that can be so when 2 of them are perfect, I got no response at all.I left it a few days then asked them to clarify that they would/wouldn’t be rectifying the issues and I’ve had no response at all.With more attention to detail, some product support when things are wrong and a decent attitude when dealing with their mistakes, I would have highly recommended them.It’s more disappointing as I would have used them for blinds on my remaining windows.Unfortunately due to the above, I feel like I have wasted my money and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.I will happily send picture of their work and screenshots of their attitude to any potential customers so you can make your own mind up

Amazing. Really pleased with the quality, fitting and service. Quick to respond when other companies did not - friendly and professional. Blinds were delivered and fitted within the time quoted. Really reasonable price, especially for the quality. Would highly recommend- thank you

Becky came to visit to measure up for blinds, initially it was verticals and the price was £800, a week went by I heard nothing back so I contacted her only to hear that Hillary's blind are out of stock however I could have an alternative , venetian now costing £1300, after further correspondence Becky in May advised I had to pay the full amount of £1300 if i wanted them? I explained to her in the UK , NO ONE does that a deposit is paid then after fitting the remain gets paid. I put a deposit down of £150 and sent text to advise Becky, I'm having a birthday party, then the decorators are coming bare with me. now I'm told I have messed her about which i cant see as her business doesn't solely depend on my business? and is refusing to pay back my deposit. I trusted her in good faith.

The Owner came out to measure the windows, she went back home got in touch with me over instgram, wanted full payment upfront to order the blinds, at that moment I felt something was not right. (Should have listened to my gut instincts). Anyhow got her to take half of the payment upfront. Gave me a time frame to which they will be delivered. 3 weeks after the the due date, was told they have arrived. (In-between that time there was no communication, calls & messages were ignored from her. Took 3months for these to arrive.Its a family run business, Husband came out for fitting. Said he cannot fit the shutters as I have underfloor heating. Absolutely shocked I was, I said I've waited nearly 3 months and I've been told they cannot be fitted. Then the 2nd room, wrong size blinds, 3rd room bedroom wrong size blinds.(At this time I wanted to cancel everything and get my money back, BUT, I knew I was stuck in a corner and the owner will not give me a refund). So instead of the shutters, she had ordered me some very very cheap blinds as a replacement. She gave me no money back. At that moment, I was not bothered about the money, I just wanted all my blinds in, as this had dragged on for so long.Husband at the time was very helpful, also gave his no to keep in contact as I said his wife does not reply back. But that did not last long as he wasn't answering to let me know when the new delivery will take place.Came out 2 months after that to fit the ones that were the wrong size. A week later 2 of the black outs would not go up. Contacted the owner again said she has ordered them. (Been 3months again, she has ignored my phone calls & messages).The blinds they have put in my house are very very cheap quality and she has charged me double of what it should cost. Customer service - THE BEST UNTIL SHE HAS YOUR MONEY. After that she does not know what communication is. (Asked her once why she was ignoring me, she said her speaker does not work on her phone, so I said you do not need a speaker to send a text message back) Absolutely SHOCKING.STAY AWAY PEOPLE!!(246 Wawne Road, Hull) NO I DO NOT HAVE THE WRONG COMPANY. You are a con. Why would you say I have the wrong company? I have an invoice from you with the same company & address, and all the messages on Instagram, which I have taken photos & printed, il be taking you to court.

Amazing service from start to finished. Rebecca's knowledge is so good and she provides you with the right solution as to what you are looking for rather than the one that will make her the most money. Her honest approach and overall professional manor gave me no hesitation in employing her for the job and our blinds and shutters all through the house. And I'm even considering her to get some shutters for my garden bar which will make it even more secure as well. Great service. Great products. Great price. Highly recommended. Thank you Rebecca.

Had mine fitted today so pleased with them ,thankyou expert shutters.100%would recommend this company.very friendly and kept me up to date with delivery to fitting.
