Great book store. Bought loads of great non fiction literature for the fraction of its original price.

Lovely old second-hand bookshop. Amazing smell of old books, probably psychotropic. I got an old Hitchcock anthology for two quid.

One of the few old style bookshops in central Brighton, the others having driven out by council policy, high rents, coffee shops, etc. Very nice man, a seasoned bookseller. Great selection of books although the organisation is chaotic. Be prepared to spend quite a time there, enjoying the amazing number of books in every corner. Note that the name is Raining Books, not Rainbow Books. As with all bookshops of this kind, I suspect that opening times are a little 'flexible'.

I'm conflicted. Now, I embrace chaos... but the disregard for books is too high. Books on the floor? How can you say you love books if they're treated like that.

Love this shop, it's a real treasure trove of books. Lovely owner and books are great prices and a fraction of the cost of online sites. A great asset to Brighton.

It's an ok bookshop. It could do with a a good tidy up in places. There's books piled up on floor in areas and it could do with better book shelves to find books easier. The old guy who runs it is friendly. Worth having a look if you go by .

A fascinating second-hand bookshop; well-stocked; good for fiction and science fiction. Chaos reigns here, hence allow time to sift through the stratified layers of volumes that fill its shelves. The owner is, though, an experienced bookdealer, and will gladly find you anything your archeological abilities fail to unearth. A singular experience not to be missed on any visit to Brighton; akin to entering a living, breathing entity.

Really great gem in brighton, with a helpful owner and brilliant prices. Picked up a David Simon book for a few quid. Kind of place you could happily spend an afternoon in.

A wonderland of books, complete with that book smell we've come to love. Sure, it may be a bit messy, a bit disheveled but its owned by a person who genuinely loves books and is a lovely man. Make sure you donate any spare books! He'll appreciate it more than Oxfam!
