Alba Scottish Steakhouse

Had a family meal here and it was nothing short of divine. The food was exceptional and the service was fantastic, couldn't recommend enough!

Steaks were really great, chips and rosemary potatoes too. Really nice place inside too. Staff were lovely but service was a bit slow. The cocktail menu is pretty great with lots of cool options! It was Father's Day so I was suprised when they said they only had sirloin and butler steaks and not the full steak menu of fillet etc until later in the night (it was about 17:45 at this point).However, there's no vegetarian option on the mains menu (I asked ahead of time and was told there would be) and the dish they had available was some weird mix of butternut squash, a full red onion, kale and maybe asparagus? I'm not sure what it was. Drenched in some weird tahini sauce and it was pretty disgusting. It's 2023, I expect more from restaurants when it comes to vegetarian options, not just something thrown together last minute.

Very unfortunate experience tonight. We came for our Parent’s anniversary and were met with issue after issue. To begin off, the tomahawk steak that we were looking forward to was out and they didn’t tell us until long after we ordered. Then when our food finally arrived, my mothers dish came about 20 minutes after everyone else’s, which was only made worse by the metallic taste of the fish alongside the extremely fishy smell, leading to us just asking for it to be taken away.Later on in the night, one of our drinks were swapped for another unexpectedly, and with another we were told 10 minutes after ordering that they were missing the crucial component.To top off the night, we were told that they were next to completely out of deserts, save for one.To commend the staff, they did exceptional for the situation they were placed in, I couldn’t imagine such a night was easy to handle but was a genuine let down for such an anticipated evening for us.

Steak was cooked to perfection, we waited a long time on chips, steak had cooled down. The sauce was very salty. No beer on draft, faulty, cans only. The staff had to go to lidi to buy the beer! As we were celebrating a retirement approximate 20 people not a good place.

The food was absolutely great and the service was quality to! The only downside is that the restaurant is to bright which kind of offsets the atmosphere, could do with dimming the lights. Apart from that It was great and will definitely be back!

Very good food and very good service! This was my favorite dinner in Ireland. Their lift was out, and we had a handicapped person in our group, so we almost didn't eat here, but I'm so glad we did. You won't find better meals, and they've got a great scotch selection.

Amazing steaks and attentive service throughout our meal. Would recommend to anybody!Thank you again for the kind gesture of a glass of prosecco to mark our anniversary. We will be back!

Fantastic lunch at Alba today. My son had a delicious ribeye steak, tender and full of flavour, served with a portion of sea salt chips. He said it was the best steak he's ever had. I had the Glasgow burger, it was delicious. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. I cannot recommend Alba highly enough. We will definitely be back!

Was really looking forward to dinner here and have to say it just missed the mark. The service was great the staff were very friendly, the starters were amazing (bruschetta and haggis trio),cocktails and wine were great, sides were great (rosemary potatoes and sea salted fries) but the issue was the steaks which should have been the star of the show, we ordered a sirloin - medium and core de beouf - mid rare, and they both came very over cooked in to the mid well and well done range. They were still very very tasty but the fact they got the cooking temperatures wrong in a steakhouse was a bit of a melt and kind of ruined it for me.

Me and my partner ordered the sharing tomahawk steak at a cost of £79, first off all the steak took just over an hour to arrive( its wasn't super busy) , we ordered it medium rare and it was closer to well done. The steak lacked flavour and was very tough, seemed like a cheap cut for the price. We had a side of roast potatoes and haggis which were both good. The service was very average to abit slow. While we were at the restaurant at least 3 other tables sent their steaks back for being over cooked. Left pretty disappointed.
