The Bird Observatories Council

Trying to keep it short: The scenery is beautiful. You can sit outside, watch the sun go down and drink an ice cold beer. The food was heavily overpriced and we even had to pay for breakfast although we had to leave at 7am (breakfast was only served at around 8am). Òur room was dirty, the electric kettle was full of mold and absolutely disgusting. The shower head didnt work, bathing was no fun either cause we didnt have warm water. Walls are thin... North Ronaldsay is beautiful, the view is beautiful, but the bird obs is heavily overpriced, dirty and run down. We expected more for 120 Pounds (1 night, 2 people!!!!!).

Fantastic stay in the observatory : beautiful island, wonderful people, good food, comfortable room, and beautiful evenings in the café/pub.
