Pat's Paws
I highly recommend Pat’s Paws. I sought Pat’s help with my dog who is a fairly new rescue who is having issues with separation. Pat took the time to explain a dog’s behaviour and gave me some exercises and tips to help with the separation with a view to being able to leave my dog alone in the future without him getting stressed. Pat spent a lot of time with my dog and me going through exercises and explaining why we do the exercises and he also spent time working with us on a few other areas I wanted to look at. Pat has a very calm and reassuring manner and is a pleasure to work him.

Pats really understands dog behavior and is able to really effectivly relay to humans how to communicate with their pets. We went through 3 different trainers before pat came in and he was the first to understand and solve the problem for a furry friend.

We found Pat very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He explained why our dog, Max, was so excitable when pulling on his lead. He soon had Max responding to us and he left us with some useful hints and tips so that we can continue our training. We are so pleased that we can seek further advice from him when needed.

Pat is extremely knowledgable and gave us brilliant advice regarding our dog's behaviour and took the time to explain what he thought was likely to be going on. It was very helpful alongside the techniques he taught us which have worked in helping us manage some of the things we have been experiencing. I would highly recommend Pat to dog owners who are looking for advice.

We used Pat to give us a solid foundation in training our puppy Corso. Money and time well spent. It was as much about teaching us the language of dog as passing on training tips for Roxi. Really useful notes were sent through via email. Highly recommend.

As Pat explained through our session, knowing how to train your dog is a bit of a science and it's about understanding the breed. Our session was not only fun, but really interesting and we came away feeling much more in control and relaxed about getting our puppy off to a great start. If you are in need of any puppy/dog training? Pat's instructions are simple and very effective with instant results.

As new and novice owners of a young excitable Labrador puppy (which we learned was a working dog as opposed to your average Labrador - see novice) we were aware we needed help to train him. We have been using a puppy class local to us and have been following the techniques which are predominantly food reward based. This didn't seem to have a great impact on his behaviour, and we decided to get Pat in based on his reviews. Following a single 2 hour session his behaviour is markedly improved within one day.Pat not only equipped us with the techniques to better his behaviour but was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in explaining the psychology to the approach and methods we could use in different scenarios, particularly in controlling his impulses to chase our rescue cat. Needless to say, our house after just a day is a much calmer space. Not only will his session equip you with the necessary skills to help improve the behaviour of your pet it is also really interesting to learn the psychology behind it all, we feel that we know have a far better understanding of our new addition.I can't speak highly enough of the session we had with Pat and would not hesitate to recommend booking a session to assist with your initial training or ongoing lessons as your dog grows. He addressed every concern we had and in all honesty we now look forward to having a more well-behaved pet. Thanks again Pat you really have changed our lives for the better.

Great outdoor space. Suitable for most outdoor activities. The park is well kept and easily you can spend a whole day there. The coffee at the wooden cabin needs to be improved and the guy serving it definitely didn't want to be there.Parking is great as you paid at the time of leaving.

My beagle, Louis, was a regular at Pat’s Paws for almost five years and he loved every minute of his time there. On his day care days he would be waiting impatiently for his driver to arrive and when he heard the van pull up outside he would howl with delight. Pat’s Paws offer a collection and delivery service which covers a wide area in SE London. I was in Penge when Louis first went to Pat’s Paws. Then I moved to Honor Oak and the reliable collection and delivery service continued there and when I moved to Forest Hill. The drivers were always very friendly if I was at home. If I was at work I could rely on them to collect and deliver Louis safely. Unfortunately, I never mastered the recall with Louis and he was an inveterate escape artist, but Pat’s team always took scrupulous care of him and I had every confidence that he would never go missing on their watch. The team obviously love dogs and they would often send photos and video clips of Louis having a great time with his friends. It’s clear the team spend their time interacting with the dogs and watching over them, unlike some other carers we’ve used. A couple of times when we used other carers Louis came home with a minor injury that wasn’t explained or acknowledged. That never happened at Pat’s Paws. They take their responsibilities seriously. For example, in October 2022 Pat rang me to express concerns about Louis’ mobility as he’d noticed that Louis wasn’t running around a enjoying himself as much as he used to. I explained that I had talked to the vet about this and we’d started him on joint supplements. These did the trick and a few weeks later Pat confirmed that Louis was back to normal. Sadly Louis died on April 4th 2023 and we had his cremation this morning. The team at Pat’s Paws sent some very touching messages about how much they loved caring for Louis. One of his drivers called round to offer condolences. They really were part of the family while Louis was with them. I would recommend Pat’s Paws to anyone who needs day care for their dog for work or other purposes. They offer an excellent day care service and you can rest assured that your dog will be in safe hands with them.
