Not what it once was, the old central bar has been ripped out and they no longer do any ales. A lot busier though so clearly some people prefer it this way.

It was okay, but it was my first visit in many years, and preferred the old borough. That's not to say staff weren't nice. They were lovely. Thank you.

Class pub.. being going since the, 80,s.. good pint, cheap aswell.. bar staff friendly and well laid out.. full of characters..

I went for a drink with my friend today, we shared a bottle of a cheap wine, very dirty glasses but very kind staff who immediately washed my glass and all was fine.Beautiful music, the pub was full of people and was reminded Christmas!

Im not a drinker by any means but this pub has been in sunderland since the year dot and i always pop in for a drink just one of those pubs that pulls you in and its not a bad place to have a bevvy.
