Contacted Donna in desperation with a socially awkward and reactive Staffordshire Bull Terrier. From the minute we met I felt confident that Donna would be able to help and she educated us to understand why my dog was displaying the behaviour towards other dogs. In a short time she has truly worked magic.

I reached out to Donna around a year after completing puppy training (which was excellent) As my dog had started to jump up at people on our walks and wouldn't leave visitors at home alone. This had become extremely stressful for us both. I started to see huge improvements within a week after my initial consultation. One of the biggest changes is how Donna has shown me how to deal with my anxiety and in turn reducing both our stresses which has helped me guide my dog towards behaviours that are more welcomed. Obviously it's going to take longer than a week for full benefits buts it's so great to have someone who clearly loves and understands dogs to help us reach a happier and stress free future. If your looking for a highly skilled dog (person) trainer for a pup or older dog. then I cannot recommend Barking Mad Dog Training highly enough.

We would highly recommend training with Donna. We attended her 4wk puppy course with our then 6 month old pointer cross and then contacted Donna a few months later for some further training in loose lead walking and behaviour around other dogs.The techniques she has taught us have been invaluable. She doesn't offer a 'quick fix' but instead puts great strategies in place to reward our dog for working with us. Our dog is now much more relaxed, and as are we now we have some tools to work with her and cope with her traits. I've thoroughly enjoyed the training and would not hesitate to recommend Donna to others.

Fab puppy class, Donna is really engaging and explains everything really clearly. She understands dogs so well, everything she said my puppy would be feeling rang true to the things I was seeing at home.My puppy enjoyed going to puppy class, was always happy to see Donna and enjoyed getting lots of cuddles!I could really see the difference in my puppy’s behaviour having attended the puppy classes, I’m a bit sad she has graduated now!

Donna is a brilliant dog trainer and absolutely one of the most knowledgeable in the North East. All of her training is backed by research as she is APDT certified. We completed her puppy course and also had some one to one sessions a year later to help our rescue dog. It's important to find a trainer who uses positive reinforcement and Donna uses these methods.
