Clean Stitches

Went here to get my prom dress altered and was blown away by the politeness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The alterations were perfect and the dress was returned pressed and ready to wear. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t in good conscience recommend them. Agreed to collect on a specific date. When I arrived it wasn’t ready and was told to come back in a couple days. I gave them an extra day, visited near closing time and both my garments had only just been completed. I was satisfied with the alterations on my coat, but my jacket wasn’t done particularly well. The lining was frayed and not securely stitched. I ended up taking the jacket to my usual dry cleaners in Lingfield, who always do a great job. It’s unfortunate. I was happy to try a new business nearby for convenience. I won’t be using them again in the future.

I had my wedding dress transformed into a christening gown for our little boy, and there are no words to describe how amazingly the clean stitches team made it but WOW!! The attention to detail is incredible and we now have the most stunning christening gown for our family

I recently used Clean Stitches to make adjustments to my bridesmaids dresses. Clean Stitches was very accommodating to have all of my bridesmaids in the shop at one time to pin the dresses to the desired lengths.Clean Stitches was also ever so kind to deliver the dresses back to me.My bridesmaids were so pleased with the adjustments and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service.

We needed a complicated job done that required precision. Rang a few places, none of whom were willing to take the job on. Luckily, Clean Stitch were willing. Professional service, went the extra mile to deliver and did a great job for a competitive price. Can therefore recommend using them.

I'm a very able dressmaker myself but hate doing repairs and alterations so I gave Clean Stitches the job of replacing a broken concealed zip and they did just that, neatly and ahead of time and I'm so grateful. I will definitely use their service again.

The owners are very friendly. My dress was too long. It's a long satin dress and I needed it to be perfect for a wedding. When I tried it on, it was exactly as I wanted it. I don't give 5 stars only because I needed it ready by Thursday and when I went there in the morning it wasn't ready yet. They thought they had also Thursday, while for me by Thursday" meant ready on Thursday as we didn't set the time for the pickup and I had the flight!However

I asked if a textured chair arm cover that had gone threadbare could be mended which the owner said he could when he looked at it . Upon collection I was delighted with the repair , it was backed up to give strength but best was you could not see the mend as was invisibly mended. It is so good to find someone that gives such high quality of workmanship and reasonably priced, will definatly use again.

I had a suit alteration done a month a go and was very disappointed with the result. The top was not properly adjusted, as show on the pictures. I went there to pick my suit up hours before it was done, and found my suit in massive wrinkles in a plastic bag. In the end I had to have it redone somewhere else. Despite the good reviews, I wouldn’t recommend this place for suit alterations
