Absolutely stunning to walk the dogs here and to see a variety in size with the snowmen around Park. Looked like a winter wonderland and the dogs had so much fun in the snow

A nice local park to relax in especially in the hotter months when you can lie in the grass and soak up the sun. There is a kids area, outside gym (not well maintained), football pitches, bowling green, tennis/badminton/ basketball court and even two table tennis tables to be used. So plenty to do if your wanting to stay within your local area. Its also a good park for dog walking and we've even noticed a regular dog walking group meet up (if you've ever heard the howling beagle, thats them)! The park is better maintained compared to Kersall Wetlands but still needs alot of improvement to be at Peel Parks standard. Unfortunately we've also encountered some problems here with antisocial behaviour from young teens. We've seen fires being started and even had rocks thrown at us and others from an unruly pack of them that just laughed and continued. Unfortunately this isn't the fault of the park, community officers should atleast walk through occasionally to reduce these events. The park needs lighting throughout at night time as once it's dark, you cannot see who is approaching you and it can be quite unnerving for woman.
