Cute place for dessert bao. Four flavours were available when we went: lotus seed, chocolate, custard and Char Siu pork. The pricing was £3 for one bao or £8 for three which they package separately in little paper bags. Or you can pay extra for box packaging. They also serve dessert shakes (cookies and cream, matcha, Biscoff etc.) but we didn’t order these. They make the buns fresh in store so you can watch them rolling out the dough and steaming them. Ours took about 10-15mins waiting time so we wandered around other shops before returning to pick them up. We got the £8 for three deal, and tried one of each flavour (except chocolate since that is the least traditional one). The bao was soft and flavour was good, however nothing special and relatively expensive compared to typical prices. The staff were extremely friendly though and the shop decor and buns are cute. It’s a decent place if you are passing by and looking for a whimsical snack.很可爱但是味道一般般~!

If in York i completely recommend checking this gem out! Very kind staff and incredible buns, so soft and fresh. (i recommend the lotus filling)My friend had a matcha milkshake with strawberry jelly pearls and she said it was so creamy and they gave her so many pearls (for just the extra price of 50p!)Amazing all around, love love love!

Not a good experience. Went in to get a bao for my gf cuz she said they looked cute". Was stood there waiting to be greeted but was completely ignored. Finally got the lady's attention who just gave me a dirty look. Asked for a char siu bao and almost had a heart attack after hearing the price. The bao was disappointing with hardly any meat. U can get 2 big baos with loads more filling from any Chinese shop cheaper than wt they charge. They need better staff or else they won't last long. If ur gf wants u to buy from here cuz they're "cute"

Two stars are for the cute decorations on the bun.The girl serving today was mad rude..!My daughter, who is 9, was asking the girl questions, as it was her first time trying a bao bun, and the server was so rude ! Like it was an actual chore to answer our questions. Not cool.It wasn't even busy ! Literally just me and my daughter inside.Plenty of other places to try this kind of thing. I'd swerve it.

After seeing pictures of the buns on offer here I had to go and try them out. All the buns are hand decorated and look like cute animals, I chose the char sui, custard and chocolate. The flavour in all the buns is lacking and not very generous. I think the place is a go to if you want some nice pictures for the socials but when it comes to the flavour I've had better bao buns elsewhere

This place is so amazing. The staff were so friendly and sweet and the actual food and drinks are so delicious, I loved it. I got the matcha shake with extra strawberry pearls and they only cost 50p extra and they have me so many, so that was definitely worth it. The staff were also super super kind and one even complimented my necklace, which I thought was super sweet. I definitely recommend this place to anyone craving a sweet treat :)

I was looking forward to trying out Bao, but unfortunately I was really disappointed. They had sold out of the Lotus, so I ordered the Chocolate which wasn’t ready, so I had to come back 10 minutes later to pick them up. I had purchased 3 in a box, the person putting the bao in the box dropped one of mine on the counter and put it in anyway, I opened the box immediately after I got outside and found them all ruined. They were nothing special, dry buns and a pot of chocolate flavoured sauce, and only the 3 had been made that I had ordered, so I couldn’t have asked to swap my order without having to wait another 10 minutes. They are extremely overpriced for what I received (£9.50), and weren’t enjoyable at all. The shop looks lovely, the staff were friendly, and the bao in the window looks really cute, but other than that, I don’t think it’s worth it, which is a real shame.

plain, no flavour, not as cute as the ones they show outside the shop (except for the lotus one which is the same, but it does not taste like Lotus at all), barely filled and the chocolate one is completely empty on the inside (the green one in the pic) so they simply make you pay to get a tasteless bun with a cup of cheap chocolate syrup for you to dip it...... waste of money.

I tried the lotus bun which was soft, fluffy and had a nice filling. 3£ for one small bun still is quite a hard bargain. But if you've never tried these type of buns before, they are worth a taste!

The pork bun was superb. We were lucky in waiting a couple of minutes upon ordering and were presented with fresh ones! Soft, fresh hot buns! Very kind workers too. Highly recommend trying one. The designs were a cute addition✨
