Birth PackageAfter a very traumatic birth experience with my first baby, I knew I wanted to have a C-section with my second child. I also knew I would need a doula’s support. Which makes me extremely glad I met Marlena.I booked Marlena as my birth doula, contacting her in my late pregnancy and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and passion for her job.We had three antenatal sessions although I could also call her when I had questions or fears, and she was my guide throughout. I received lots of information and useful tips on how to prepare for my birth, my options during the birth, a recovery plan and how to organise a family life with the new-born and a toddler.My baby came earlier than we expected at 36 weeks. When I started to have contractions, I called Marlena and she arrived at the hospital extremely quickly. During the labour Marlena used acupressure, she guided me through my breathing and supported me emotionally. I felt very calm all the way through and at the end I decided to have the baby naturally rather than by the C-section.Marlena supported me in a myriad of ways helping me find and navigate the support and services I needed, and she was in contact with me every day after the birth even visiting us at home to provide her special calm kindness and postnatal support. She also made us a delicious curry and oat cookies.Whatever problems or issues I had Marlena always came up with a solution or sound advice. In this emotional time, it just made my life easier and much more relaxed.Marlena’s integrity and commitment is admirable. She has a wonderful composed and unflappable attitude when under pressure.She is also a lovely, approachable, polite, and fun individual who has become a friend.Whoever has Marlena as their doula will be very privileged indeed.

Marlena is not only a doula, She is also educated in many other kinds of fields which makes her a holistic person with wide view and opinion on different kind of subjects & matters.When I first met her, I quickly realised that we have the same opinions, views and focus on birth, pregnancy and beyond.I admire her passion for that and I would definitely recommend to anyone a doula, because of the emotional support and knowledge.Thank you so much!
