No counter service. Two paying in machines called express banking out of which one isn’t working. How express is that? Wait time is 45 mins to get to machine which it self takes another 10 mins to complete your transaction. Waste of time.

Always found staff helpful and very friendly.

I'd like to share a small story of panic, stress and unexpected kindness.My family (wife and our 5 kids) moved house in November 2021. We moved out of our house and sold it with the plan to exchange and complete on the same day. This failed to happen as the conveyancing company had a major security issue. This ment my family and many thousands of others couldn't move.The stress of this was immense especially with a large family. Luckily we had a place to stay with friends.Long story shortish. After some heated phone calls we got our money sent to us. This was actually not helpful as it turned out and we had to go back to the bank and send it back to the conveyancing company.We tried to find a branch which could do this and after the third attempt we went to this branch. We are from the Kent area and didn't know this area.Unfortunately we were too late in the day to make the transfer as buying house comes with a lot of security levels. (Rightly so).To say my wife was at her whits end with our baby strapped to her while I was trying to keep the three year old calm was an understatement.Our other three girls who are old enough to stay at our friends where not with us.The staff member who was dealing with us was not only a super star, she was incredibly empathetic and supportive. She stayed after hours as the doors closed so help us prep for the following day. She made sure we came with the exact documents and helped me distract my 3 year old with a box of toys. At the moment of a week's official homeless state that was quite literally the kindest thing.Fatema if you are reading this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there for us. That moment of kindness and Patience was godly.The following day Fatema was not in and requested we let her know how we got on. Well Sarah whom assisted us was also such a kind and helpful staff member and our thanks goes to her too.We now have our house and home. Many many thanks to the staff at this branch.I hope management see this and this goes towards a team merrit or some such.This bank branch was so helpful.Thank you.

Busy but fast service and pleasant friendly staff.

Went to pay in £440 in £20 notes. No cashier to do this, you have to use a machine. The far two machines rejected most of the notes the other one worked first attempt. Staff describe them as temperamental and are being replaced. I remember I had similar problems last year. These 2 machines should be retired as they just waste peoples time.

Just been with my 83 year old father to the HSBC Meadowhall branch to sort an issue out with a cheque. The young lady that helped us was so friendly and helpful and she put my dad at ease. We don't know the girls name but would just like to say thank you.

I had a great experience today at this branch. I had some issue and resolution was going to take at least 5 days. I didn't have 5 days. A guy at the entrance (I don't know his name, good people always remain anonymous) listened to me. Understood the issue and helped me in every way possible and the whole process took just an hour to resolve. This wonderful person wore a beard. He showed me kindness in a moment of distress. How wonderful! Thanks to him, the rest of the day is going fine. I am eternally grateful!

So Meadowhall is now open again as usual but it seems HSBC can't be bothered to extend their opening hours for small business owners dealing with cash this is very poor in fact its downright disrespectful, I don't know what I pay for and the charges are going up. Poor.

Why in such a large location would you only have one or two people dealing with customers is beyond me. This is the second time this week I've been here and can honestly say I'd not trust them to run my bath correctly.
