Lovely cafe with an emphasis on freshly baked cakes. The Bara Brith was outstanding. Friendly service and very reasonably priced.

Lovely coffee and cake, ok service but seriously over priced. Paid just under £20 for two coffees and two slices of cake. I'm sorry, but £4 for a latte and £5.95 for a slice of cake is extortionate. I would have reconsidered my choice if I had seen the price just for a bit of cake.

Such a shame as the staff all seem really friendly but the prices are eye watering! Kids were starving so forked out £9 each for a sandwich which was just cheap bread and cheese! Crazy! Sadly we had forgotten our packed lunches and this was the only option, cake was also expensive and dry! It's one of our favourite places to go walking, next time we will remember to bring our packed lunches!

We knew that this cafe was pricey but it was insane when 3 small chips, gravy and a quiche was 35 quid. When we arrived at around 1 it was half full and they warned us it would take 30 mins for food to arrive but it actually took an hour and the food was quite underwhelming considering the wait. The kids meal was the worst meal I have ever seen. It consisted of half a mini pizza, a mini ketchup packet? , 1 slice of an orange and cucumber (YES 1 little slice) and a cupcake and was basically all food bought from a supermarket. And the icing on top of the cake was the hygiene, we were sat in the corner and it was filled with bugs and spiders, my sister was scared half to death! Not worth the time or the money.

We love this place. It's in a beautiful setting with a play area for kids. The staff are so warm and friendly and the food is delicious, proper home cooked fresh dishes. You can tell the chef loves to cook.

To echo many previous reviews, the owner is manipulating bills like they were in a tourist trap promenade overseas. The business model of routinely overcharging people on their bills is not sustainable. Expect a visit from Gwynedd Council Trading Standards.Poor quality, freshly defrosted, cling wrapped cakes.Three slices of cake, two scoops of the cheapest ice cream and three bottled/canned soft drinks £33 … readers will make up their own minds about the bill!!Would not return, even though I’m local.

RIP off 2 teas and Apple pie nearly £20 with a 45 minutes wait, and a £2 charge a small jug of cream.

Brilliant little gem, any time of year for a reviving brew and delicious bite. Always feel welcome and there's a bowl of water for the dog too!!
