The park around the property is really what made our visit a wonderful and serene time. It was such a pleasure to wander around the park; everywhere you look, it's always like a painting is coming to life in front of your eyes. Absolutely beautiful. the house itself was lovely, only the ground floor is open to visit but it was interesting enough. The cafe offered some good options for lunch (better than your average National Trust cafe I must say) and all the staff/volunteers we interacted with were nice and friendly. Really a great place to visit on the weekend.

Visited on a very hot Sunday, plenty of spaces in the car park and then a small walk over the road to the grounds. We also visited the house which although there were less rooms than other national trust house sites was pleasant. Cafe, shop and second hand book store on site as well as plenty of space for picnics.

Excellent place to spend the day with family. Gorgeous views, kids can play, visiting the mansion is a must, and having a picnic or a delicious meal at one of the two coffee shops will put a smile on your face.

A beautiful country mansion set in the most beautiful part of the country. Great walks around the grounds plenty of ducks and dear just a fine place. Theirs only 5 rooms open on the ground floor at the moment post covid but I understand that over the winter they are going to redress more rooms back out from storage. I think we will go again next summer on our travels

We stopped off at Charlecote park during our travels from our holiday in the Peak District. Initial thoughts were stunning grounds, well-kept and located in a peaceful/tranquil area, and it only got better. There is a walk from the admissions building to the site, which includes crossing a road, and following a stoney path up to the gate house. As you approach the gatehouse on your left is a enclosed outhouse toilet block for public use.As you pass through the gate house you are greeted to a spectacular walled garden which leads onto the house itself. The house is your typical Tudor style manor, but in brilliant condition. As you reach the walkway to the front door, you have two gates either side which lead on to different parts of the grounds. To the left are more buildings, the main cafe area and gift shop, further on is the carriage house with preserved carriages inside for public view only. Unfortunately the bridge that leads onto the greater woodland area does not permit dogs (even on leads) as the trust is working to support the local deer population. However, the views are stunning and if your as lucky as us you may see the deer gracing close by.To the right of the house is the Victorian kitchen and a small cottage made entirely out of branches and other forms of wood, nicknamed 'Grannys summerhouse'.Unfortunately, we did not have time to tour the house, however we intend on returning if we are back in the are again.Overall, a lovely, picturesque national trust site, perfect for couples and or families. An ideal stop if journeying up or down the country.

A top location if you’re exploring NT locations. It is mostly well maintained while left to have a classic and nature charm in the gardens. The cafe was great for the family to have some food - it is a little expensive. I’d recommend as a nice day out to spend a few hours walking around and appreciating the manor.

A beautiful place. The entry fee and parking is free if you're a member (the membership is definitely worth it).The house and outer buildings are very interesting. There's a lot of activities around the grounds, which is ideal for children. There's a café which we didn't go to, 2 locations for toilets, a gift shop and a small second hand bookshop. The grounds are lovely. Please respect the deer sanctuary zones. You will see them without going into those areas! As well as the funky looking Jacob Sheep. If you have a dog, I suggest picking up a map as there's only certain routes they can be walked.~ There's also some signs by trees which tell you the species, as well as other educational points scattered around.

Great Manor, one of the best and most complete overall experience ( well explained history of the Lucy family, beautiful first floor rooms, quirky decorations, different buildings to visit, stables, servant quarters, kitchen, laundry, brewery) in the South. The park is a very nice walkabout, including fallow deer and Jacobs sheep, a mini lake and swans. All together a great day out, with picnic opportunities weather permitting. One of the best National Trust managed properties we have visited.

Made a last minute visit to Charlecote this afternoon to hopefully dodge the bad weather. Delighted to be informed of a private tour of the house at 3pm for an extra £3 donation each. What great value and Matt was so friendly, funny and informative. Loved it!
