Took my Unison Research Simply Four to be looked at, Stan gave me a quote and I paid that in advance, parts are hard to get hold of at the moment so knew it would not be a quick fixI did ring on a couple of occasions to get updates and Stan and Andy kept me updated, the amp is now fixed and serviced and sounding great again,Will definitely use again if needed, just have to be patient if parts not readily availableThankyou both

The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Avoid at all costs. The my had two of my HK Audio speakers for 9 months. I was rudely informed that the parts were not available. I’ve never been spoken to before in that manner. The owner Stan is a disgusting creature(I’m trying to be nice) and shouldn’t be in business.I brought them to another repair shop and both units were fixed in two days.I never leave reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to.

Had a Fender Hot-Rod Deville that was howling like a banshee when I took it to the guys at Surrey Amps. Got it back today and spent a couple of hours with it and it's back to its perfect self again. Great service and these guys are definitely my go-to amp guys now. Many thanks Surrey amps.

Awful experience. They might know how to go down to component level but what a bunch of jokers!They took my unit in with an SLA on inspection of two weeks. Two weeks on the dot I politely requested an update on my unit as I'd heard no updates nor changes via repair tracking - only to be told that they can't give me a timeline associated to an inspection due to current workload, or any timeline around an actual repair “so it's probably best you come & collect your unit.” Apparently they shouldn’t have taken on any more work in their words!Awful experience. Terrible customer service and a complete waste of time + loss of earnings! I would not recommend them to ANYONE and will be telling everyone in the music industry & local community to stay clear.Stick to the official authorized repairers of the brands you buy. Otherwise, a reputable engineer who specializes in pro audio equipment. Lesson learned - do not choose convenience over official authorised repairer!Update: SCV (official repair centre for my gear) repaired & returned my item within 48 hours of dropping them off.

About the only place to get old school help in the south of England (at least) - Andy and Stan know the stuff you want to know about the way music and sound works. Great advice has stopped me spending hours reading through rubbish and also getting a straight answer about your gear - they are irreplaceable.

Only interacted via phone call. Very obnoxious and unhelpful staff. Just hung up on me without giving me advice on how to fix my issue he said ‘I don’t know. You may need a whole new setup’ and didn’t offer any solutions other than that. Main issue was the fact he just hung up on me. Very unhelpful via phone call however I can’t comment on real life interactions.

There's an unreasonable 1 star review here condemning Stan's personality and his approach to customers. If I'd worked on and been exposed to guitar amplifiers for as long as him I'm sure I'd speak as loudly too on account of having slightly damaged hearing! So try not to take it the wrong way, for Stan is actually the man. In my experience of this legendary fellow he's a no nonsense, to the point guy with a lot of integrity. Stan was once kind and decent enough to talk me out of wasting a lot money on things my amplifier didn't even need (but I thought it did) Not many people like that around these days. In fact most of them would opt to rip you off instead!

Interesting customer service to say the least. As a professional venue we’ve been using Surrey Amps for over 13 years now, but I can honestly say that we will no longer be using them anymore and have found another service provider. One employee in particular named Stan (who I believe is actually the owner), was my main point of contact throughout the process. I found his behaviour towards me to be entirely disrespectful and straight forwardly rude. Stan took the time to explain what work had been carried out, but did so in a manor which was more like talking at me, and not to me after querying it. I would personally never talk over and cut off a customer when they’re talking. I would notably like to point out that not all of Surrey Amps behave in this manor - Andy, another point of contact was lovely and polite throughout the entire process.After a justified and opinion oriented negative review was left by an employee at our workplace who dealt with Surrey Amps during this process, Stan was quick to continuously call my personal number and text me regarding this apparent “slanderous” review, threatening to take legal action. This was not only harassing and threatening, but totally unjustified and intimidating - particularly on my personal number. I hope this isn’t how all negative reviews are dealt with!It’s a shame we’ve had this issue with Surrey Amps, I hope they’re able to sort their customer service hick-ups out for other customers. It’s unfortunately passed a line for us now where we won’t use, or recommend Surrey Amps to other industry professionals.
