Space Invaders Loft Conversions Ltd

We used Space invaders to convert our loft earlier this year. Greig came and did the initial quote and we were impressed with his ideas and passion for the company. The pricing was also very competitive. The work has been carried out to a high standard and has made a huge difference to our home.I’d particularly like to mention Steve and Fran who built the shell as well as the roofers Paul and his son Lou. All the staff were great to deal with but these guys were really friendly and did a brilliant job.Space invaders were recommended to me by a friend who had a loft conversion completed by them a number of years ago. I’d have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Ours is a 1928 New Ideal Homesteads bungalow with, as is typical of houses of that age, thin interior walls of brick-on-edge and a roof in a somewhat fragile state. We were a little nervous, therefore, at the prospect of adding a staircase and converting the loft space into a double bedroom, landing and bathroom. We already had obtained planning permission, having used our own architect. We chose Space Invaders on the basis of their being long-established, specialists in exactly the work we wanted and having a string of good reviews. We were not disappointed. Each stage was completed as set out in their schedule of works and, allowing for the fact that we added reroofing to the project, everything was completed in good time and without incident. We are very happy with the result and would recommend Space Invaders to anyone considering a similar undertaking.

Space Invaders converted the loft of our Victorian semi-detached house. The whole process, from Greig's initial visit through to completion, was fantastic. The quality of the workmanship is superb and everyone was courteous and professional throughout.Space Invaders were recommended to us by our previous neighbours and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them highly to anyone considering a loft conversion.

I cannot recommend Space Invaders highly enough.Getting your loft converted is a serious commitment (both from a financially view point alongside the disruption to your daily lives) and we wanted a company that seemed both engaged and considerate. I can confidently say that they surpassed my expectations and my hopes of what the space would become.From the start they were more engaged that most (response times etc). It did occur to me they were just trying to win my business but this attentiveness carried through until the scaffold came down and everything was cleared away.From the moment they came to quote they were clearly more creative than the other companies I engaged with. Demonstrating their depth of experience and interest in making this something I wanted (and not a 'cookie cutter' design).All teams were considerate and courteous - which I hadn't realised would be so important until I discovered they are in your house for weeks on end. They were always communicative and professional and certainly tolerated my fairly endless questions.I cannot sing their praises or recommend them highly enough. I know people who swear they won't go through the process again but I live in hope my next home has an unused loft that is prime for development - if that's the case Space Invaders will be my first phone call.

He worked with us to fully understand what we were hoping to achieve, making suggestions and adaptations to ensure the final result was everything we had hoped for. We chose Space Invaders over the competition for few reasons.1. Many companies outsource the job to a third party, so two neighbours can use the same company but have very different outcomes. Space Invaders assured us that everyone on the build works directly for them and this is what we found. All the guys turned up in Space Invaders vans, wearing Space Invaders gear, and seemed to live and breath the company. The neighbours commented regularly on the professionalism, politeness and helpfulness of everyone on the job.2. From the onset talking to Greg we felt that Space Invaders understood that we did not want a standard box and would accommodate any quirks in the design. Again we were proved right.3. Space Invaders were the only company that proposed multi layer foil insulation over standard board insulation. We have been in loads of hot lofts insulated with board insulation and felt that the foil/mineral wool combination that Space Invaders use would be better than board. Our loft was not an oven this summer, even on the hottest days.I am a DIYer and followed the guys closely throughout the build. Apart from the fact that they put up with me constantly peering over their shoulders (it was lockdown) and my endless questions, they did not appear to cut corners where and when I felt it would have been easy to do so. This must be why months later as I am writing this review, there are no cracks or problems.Needless to say, I wholeheartedly recommend Space Invaders and if I had to do this again would not hesitate to use them again.

We recently used Space invaders to help us create a Bedroom / dressing room and bathroom loft extension from start to finish Space invaders couldn't of been any more helpfully or professional. During this time my wife gave birth and they worked around us so they didn't get in our way. Steve came round and quoted and we received the quote the following day any questions Joe was on hand to answer these quickly. We got 3 quotes from different builders and Space invaders was one of the cheapest quotes we got and I wanted to use them as they have a good reputation and you always see their vans around kings hill.
