My husband bought me a ring 2 weeks before Christmas for 250 pounds 2 weeks ago the shank split l have only worn it for 2 months, l have asked for a refund as l have lost confidence in replacing it with another one 2 months is ridiculas for a shank to split, l have been refused a refund and when l tried to explain l really don't won't another l don't want it to happen again it was tough that is all l am offering you and when l tried to say some thing else she said l am ending this conversation now and hung up. My goodness shocked or what ring still there no resolution to date please be careful if you decide to shop here as customer service is zero as l live 2 hours drive from Plymouth it is not often l go there and l never will shop at this jewellers again so rude

I visited Sam Smith Jewellers last month after my stone came out of my engagement ring. Having been over the road for a quote that saw my ring repair priced at £60 (it's stirling silver and opal) I felt a little hopeless. We spotted Sam Smith's on our return and I was charged £20 for a tightening and the gluing of my stone. The job was done in 2 hours. The staff were lovely and did a fantastic job. I have knocked my ring several times since due to the stone being quite prominent and it hasnt budged. Most importantly after the fair price is that at no point was I judged for not having a big showy diamond ring. The first jeweller pulled a face immediately and we knew I was about to be over priced in my quote. There was no judgement here, only respect for our choice not to overspend on rings for the wow factor and shop for only what we could afford and that would have more sentimental value.
