National Trust Gift Shop

Visited the shop today for a quick browse, and was very promptly accosted by a zealous member of staff and thoroughly encouraged to sanitise my hands using the luxurious sanitizer, while she stood over me like a victoian school teacher just to make sure that I, a 37 year old man complied with her exceedingly friendly request. She also informed me, a millennial, that I wouldn't be able to use the masses of cash that I had weighing down my pockets to pay for any of the uninspiring goods on offer. This deeply impassioned and informative greeting made me feel so welcomed that I perused the beige goods on offer and left within 30 seconds. Would recommend to anyone that wants to be pounced upon and made to feel like a child.

Good choice of gifts, good quality, spacious inside so even if theres a lot of people its not overcrowded. Would recomend.

Good collection and quality products they have, service was good. The lady at the counter was very sweet. I bought a postcard to add to my collection. The quality of printing, illustration and paper is awesome.* Picture for reference

Beautiful, quaint shop with a lot of nice gifts.

Didn't feel v welcome. No acknowledgement from staff that we wasted even in the shop. Put us off looking.

Very nice shop with very nice items. The staff are always very smiley and kind.

Loads of good stuff. Present staff week laid out shop. But as you would expect with the National trust, because it's a charity and marks up all the products with its branding. Things are much more expensive than elsewhere. One good thing is that the NT is supporting local artists. And stocking some really beautiful gifts that are hand made/designed. Well worth asking at the counter which work is hand made.
