I bought gulab jamun, barfi, , katlama and sheesh kebab, it definitely wasn’t fresh the barfi smelt and the gulab jamun was hard , not happy at all this place was good and had a reputation but now I think there on a Downward spiral.

We bought a lot of sweets ; ladoos, habsi halwa, kalakand, kala jamun and cham cham. It was quite shocking when I saw fungus on ladoos after opening. Please be careful before eating sweets from ambala Birmingham specially if you are giving to small kids. Also cham cham and kala jamun felt stale.We were always buying from london and never had any complaints. Hopefully this review will help the owners to maintain hygiene and proper refrigeration of sweets during summer time.

One chap stated doing these basket and then another chap took over and messed it up. Then I asked and the 1st chap started afresh and did a good job. Appreciated. They have since replied and apologized too, following the review.

Come after 25 plus years to this particular branch and was not disappointed. Had a good selection of sweets and savoury snacks. Must say the katlama was spot on with the filling and spice. The sauce accompanying the katlama was nice but not as good as the old school red sauce with onions. Both guys working were very accommodating considering it was nearly closing time.

extremely disappointed by our recent Ambala trip. My elderly grandmother went in to order mitai for herself and as a gift for a relative. She was given old barfi, we called up and they said we could come in and swap it, however we live a 20minute drive away so that’s another 40 minutes. Not worth it and disappointing. This echos a review a few reviews down - maybe they have swapped and gone downhill as another review said they didn’t receive fresh barfi either. She can’t gift this and I feel they took advantage of her age. Won’t be coming back.
