Found this lovely dancewear boutique quite by chance. For about 30 years I've worn little leather ballet pumps as house slippers. Minimal and comfy.Walked into Gene & Rita's and was greeted with a friendly welcome and gorgeous room scent. Didn't have my size in white but ordered them in for me. Very helpful x

Lovely shop, great customer service. My daughter loved getting her 1st pointe shoes here, Sarah was friendly and helpful and made the girls feel comfortable while being fitted. Very confident in the fit and we'll definitely be back!

I bought a child's pink tutu and had excellent service, it arrived quickly and my little niece was so delighted with it that she almost went to bed in it. I would definitely recommend this shop. Very helpful and they go out of their way to get you exactly what you want.Mrs Caroline Taylder

We visited Gene & Rita on a recent visit to Newcastle. We live in Yorkshire and were recommended the shop to buy Christmas presents for our granddaughters, we were not disappointed! The shop is immaculate and Sarah the owner is so helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are good and the quality of the products exceptional. So refreshing to purchase items that are different and unique. Do not hesitate to give this shop a visit or check out the online shop. Love it!!

Came to Gene & Rita before Christmas to get my daughters some gifts. Sarah the owner was beyond courteous and welcoming and took time to show me her products and help me pick some things for my girls which they absoloutley love. Excellent customer service, with a true passion for what she does. Great to have somewhere local also! Will definitely be back.
