I attended AK Aesthetic Centre on 28/02/23 for a hollywood wax with Amara. My appointment had been rescheduled by Amara twice already, from the day before and earlier on the 28th. I arrived at the business court and found the room 5 minnutes before my appointment was due to begin. There were no lights on in the room and no one around so I called the number I originally used to book the appoinment, with no answer, and texted 2 different numbers. I was still waiting for Amara to arrive at the building 20 minutes after my appointment time that she herself had rescheduled.I was asked to take off my trousers and underwear but there was no towel to cover myself with. Having been waxed elsewhere before with underwear on, I felt extremely uncomfortable and unnecessarily exposed, especially with no towel to cover myself. I proceeded to rip some of the couch roll to cover myself but Amara moved it out the way completely anyway. She could have left one side of me covered while waxing and re-covered while she did the other side, likewise, moving underwear out of the way to either side, or offer disposable underwear. This was my first time as a client here so I expected some sort of consultation before starting, but I wasnt asked anything or asked to fill any client forms out. I have a variety of skin allergies so this made me uneasy when she started applying the wax and creams without any heads up that she was about to begin or what she was applying. I dont know what was in the cream so I had to get home and wash it off immediately. The treatment in total probably lasted 15 minutes max. out of the 50 minutes I was there. While there is no issue with how long it took, there was an issue that I still found multiple stray hairs that I had to tweeze away myself. The worst part of my experience didn't come until after my wax treatment as I sat up to get myself dressed. Someone knocked on the door while I had no underwear or trousers on, just a small piece of tissue to try and keep myself covered. Amara opened the door, that was facing me, to a male, who I would assume wasnt the next client. I could see his face and his head, which in turn would mean he would see me naked if I had been stood up and hadnt been trying to keep myself covered. I tried to rush and put my clothes back on while the door was closed, but she opened the door to him again while I was undressed. I cannot put into words how unbelievably unprofessional this was, and infuriated and insanely shocked that a therapist (or any one) would do this while a client was still in her room and undressed.I would also like to note that the treatment table was faced feet towards the door and there was no room divider or curtain or any kind of cover to make sure no one just walks in and see an exposed woman on the couch. The room wasnt overly clean or tidy. The bin was overflowing with dirty tissue, the shelves also covered in tissue before my treatment. Products strewn all over the shelves and machines in no sort of aestethic layout making the room feel like a cluttered storage room rather than a place to attend luxury treatments.I have never had such an awful experience with a beauty therapist and would hope no one else ever recieves this lack of customer care and service. I would never recommend AK Aesthetic's Centre to anyone looking for a beauty treatment.

I had a laser hair removal appointment booked in for today (Sunday 15th @ 11am)I arrived to the location at 11am, it’s a little difficult to locate as it’s through a gate which leads into several different businesses.A couple minutes past 11, I messaged to say I was struggling to find them, after no reply I rang several times and still no answer. I waited outside for half an hour with absolutely no communication from anyone. Highly unprofessional.

I went for a Hollywood and Face wax. I should have left when I saw the rat/mouse traps set outside - or perhaps when I arrived to the court, had no signage to direct me where to go, no information on the website and she would not pick up any calls. I resorted to just wandering the court and buildings looking for any semblance of the place. I did eventually find it after a bit of a search! When I went in I was just told to strip down and lay down - normally the technician would step away or at least turn as I do this, and I’d have some sort of towel for modesty or anything really. There’s none of this, expect to be watched as you get nude! Also the positions for certain areas are a little unconventional and embarrassing. Instead of rolling onto my side as I normally would for the perinum, she had me hold my knees to my chest. Due to the awkward angle, a lot of hair was left behind. It would be more modest and more technically correct to roll onto the side.Unfortunately as well, this was one of the most painful experiences I have had. And since 24 hours later I still have very sore patches of skin - as well as breakouts where she has waxed. Which is far from ideal as I get married tomorrow. I cried in the shower as I have bumps and redness around my eyebrows, lips and chin which were not there before!I could take a guess that this might be because she didn’t swap her gloves from waxing my behind and then going straight to my face. I’d have said something but it happened so fast that she’s already applied the wax to half my face.Although we were done with the Hollywood portion of the wax, when I tried putting my underwear back on, she was confused as to why I was doing that and even questioned me about it. I didn’t particularly want my hoohaa just out for fun. Especially now that it’s sore.Furthermore, as I left I was still covered in wax. I had to rip my underwear off of myself when I got home which was not fun. My hair kept sticking to the wax all over my face.I am also aware that the products used are rather cheap as these are ones I use at home and thought weren’t a very good quality. I come out to salons to get better treatment than I could do at home and this is not what you will get here with waxing.Overall, I would beg anyone not to go for a wax. My face is ruined and it has made me incredibly stressed for the wedding. I spent weeks doing skincare to get myself as clear as possible all to be ruined a couple days before by poor products and hygiene.
