I don’t usually leave a review for bad service. When it is disastrous, I need to share my experience for everybody’s benefit.Every year, it’s the same story: I book my MOT and service well in advance, I take the car to the garage early morning… and I don’t get it back in the evening for a reason or another. They don’t call me: I, the customer, have to try to find out when I’ll be able to pick up my car. Inconvenient and poor customer service, but hey: it’s 2023…In February this year, I took the car in to change the front suspensions (heavy rattling noise). £700 later, the car was back on the road … until the summer when we broke down on our way to our holiday destination. More issues with suspensions. £300 (and a very, very painful journey) later, the car was back on the road … until October when the same rattling noise appeared again. This time, I chose to go to a different local garage. It turns out that Hope Scott charged me for some parts they didn’t change back in February: specifically, suspension arm and strut. It also shows on the receipt that they charged me twice as much as the other place for labour. This time, it cost me £500 to get the car back on the road.Avoid the Hope Scott at all costs. There are far more professional, cost effective and friendly alternatives in the area!

I recently purchased a daytona grey Audi S3 sportback from Hope Scott. After going to see an S3 from an independant garage in London and being deflated I took the punt of travelling from Leicester to Edinburgh to view this one. The service I got was excellent, very honest sales work by Mark with multiple videos and all service history made available prior to me travelling. Mark even sorted out a few bits and pieces on the car before I arrived so it was perfect to make the 300+ drive home. Mark even picked me up from Haymarket train station on a Sunday afternoon.They did offer home delivery but due to holidays I would have had to wait a further week and I am impatient.Even though the garage is very far from me, Id have no hesitation making the journey again for a future car.Thank you again Mark!

Lewis and the service department team have been looking after our cars’ services, MOT, and repairs for nearly 10 years. For my dad’s 1998 BMW 5 series, they sorted an engine noise on first go when other garage (dealership) failed to sort for years. My current car’s (Mitsubishi Outlander) latest visit really demonstrated how excellent the Hope Scott Garage team is! They rapidly and accurately diagnosed the issue (the intercooler hose split) that caused the engine management light to come on. They sourced the replacement part rapidly, got my authorisation to proceed with the repair work, carried out an oil service, and got the car back in working order within 2 days! As Mitsubishi parts are difficult to source since Mitsubishi left the UK, I am absolutely delighted with the hard work Lewis and team did to get me back on the road so quickly! Their communications are very clear from start to finish (Lewis even phoned me to let me know the car was ready sooner than previously agreed). Hope Scott Garage’s team is trustworthy, polite, and shows us how garage with good old fashion values works! I whole heartedly recommend the service department team at Hope Scott Garage.

I was looking for a low mileage used car for my daughter and found 2 that caught my eye at hope Scott garage, phone simon to arrange a viewing. Met simon and although one of the cars had been sold the deal was done on the Hyundai, would recommend anyone looking for a no hassle and friendly service to give simon a call. First class
