Our visit was for dinner. We didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms. Lovely bar area plenty of dinning space with nooks, large tables and a row of bench tables.Service was attentive, friendly but not imposing. Food of good quality, menu bit mixed from fine dinning to pub classics such as burgers and fish and chips it was hard to distinguish what market is being aiming for.We enjoyed the food but felt rushed, a drink in the bar area before the meal would have been welcomed. We also did not understand why three sets of people were seated along a row of bench seats in one area when there was plenty of room to spread out?

A lovely quiet location , the staff themselves were very nice , but the service was poor. We arrived and had to go and find the front of house to check us in, the rooms themselves were nice and clean but tired , you had paint peeling off ceilings , some stains on carpet. Generally the rooms were pretty good though. The bed was super comfy. We tried to communicate 2 x via Bookings and no one responded , so i booked a table of 7 for dinner direct. This is really where it all went wrong. Glasses with lip stick on, had to ask to change, no one taking orders , had to ask, then the food came, very very average for the price, my mums lamb was the chewiest in town and for her birthday dinner was a little disappointing. Very slow indeed. We then went o the bar around 9.50 pm to be told at 10pm we are closing , when on booking in we were told 11pm. Breakfast was nice , £180 for a room with breakfast and no one offered us continental and if you wanted a juice it as extra. Generally a nice building and good location just typical small chain and lack of service ( staff were great people ) not trained and no systems i guess. We were not the only people as some were saying many small issues. Overall disappointing

We went for dinner here for my husbands birthday. The food was really nice. The service was quick but it was on a quiet weekday night. The venue look beautiful and would be lovely to sit outside.We will definitely go back again. The menu had a good choice. The drinks menu had something for everyone.The venue inside and outside looked very smart and tidy. Everything looked in good condition and well looked after.

10/10 service is top notch! This was a last minute booking and we were super pleased with our entire experience. Tammy & Dan looked after us with 1st class service, the quality of the food, the drinks, the rooms was incredible!! The rooms are super comfortable and well thought out. Would highly recommend, we are going to explore all the other venues at some point:-) Karen

Had a lovely meal this evening with my husband. I am gluten free and they had a good selection. Relaxed atmosphere and the food was cooked to perfection. Dave was very attentive and had a lovely personable approach. We will be back again and will reccomend to friends and family.

We were looking for a good Pub to treat visiting family. to a good lunch, we came across the Crab and Boar. We were so lucky. David and Tammy, great hosts, very helpful. Our lunch was delicious. We are looking forward to returningin two weeks time. Thank you.

Had lunch here today. Food very good. Interesting range of light lunchtime options. Served by Dave, who was welcoming and very friendly and helpful. We live nearby, but haven’t been since new ownership. We went today to try it and were impressed. Will definitely be coming again.

Lovely pub, restraunt and room for the night. Not really value for money. Stayed in the luxury" room and it was nice but not really worth the money.The water in the shower kept stopping

Wonderful stay at Crab & Boar. Unfortunately we had booked through a large hotel booking website who had messed up the booking however the staff here were excellent, very patiently dealing with the situation, facilitating the re-booking on our behalf and passing on a discount in the process.The rooms were very well appointed with our own private patios (we had two rooms) and quality teas and coffees on hand. The food was excellent, as was the service, and the fact it was dog friendly meant our daughter and partner could stay a little longer without worrying about getting back, while also taking advantage of nearby Snelsmore Common which is a haven for dog walkers and families alike.I would highly recommend Crab & Boar

Ate a lunch here on the drive to the Cotswolds. A few diners on a cold afternoon, and we were served a very good lunch, by friendly people, in this cozy dining room. Parking area is huge. Convenient for major road routes, though blissfully quiet.
