London City Airport

Great airport for short haul flights. 5mins from walking through the door to bag checks. Limited facilities for eating and shopping but what you would expect for such a small airport. Access via DLR and easy for drop off by car. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very uncomfortable to travel through this airport, their machines are not up to date. Meaning, you only have a tiny plastic bag which should fit all of your liquids and if it doesn’t fit they makeYou throw valuables away.

Busy regional airport with great transport links into London. Lots of building works ongoing, especially in departures. Limited seating and retail options.

Security easy to get through..not too big an airport, so one can rock up 40 to 50 mins before a flight (though not advised) and make it. Plus very convenient for access to Canary wharf and central London areas such as Bank, Waterloo or Stratford etc

DLR top class.Great to get out to the airport and good high visibility security around which make you feel really safe.Very clean station and really well sign posted well thought out.TFL Transport for London are doing a great job

Really easy and convenient especially for Domestic flights. Really great access to public transport you can be in the city centre in minutes.

Always very quick. No need to remove liquids and electronics from you bag.

London City Airport is a delight to fly from and to. When you are flying from the airport, you can usually get through security in a matter of minutes. They have those new scanning machines where you don't have to take your laptop, or deodorant, or anything else out of your bag, making the whole process much quicker. Not being held up, for example, by those stupid people who don't even start to take their coat off until they get to the scanning machine. One downside once you are through security, is that there is not a lot to do. There is however a bar and a coffee shop.When flying to City airport, from the time you land to the time you are out of the airport can be as little as 10 minutes (assuming you've only taken carry on luggage). Right outside the airport is the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) which can take you to Woolwich or into the east side of the city of London.

This is the light rail station, NOT the airport itself! (So you can disregard several reviews from people who clicked the wrong thing.)As a rail station, it was fine. Reasonably clean and easy to navigate. Only complaint is that the sales office was confusingly closed at 9:15 AM on a Thursday. Perhaps a staffing issue. Otherwise good, so 4 out of 5 stars.
