Had a lovely day here with my wife and 3 kids, the sunflower trail was amazing and we managed to pick some really nice raspberries. Always a great day out for the family. Thank you.

The strawberries this year are huge and so juicy! The kids absolutely loved it. A huge variety of friuts and veg. We ended up picking strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, chuckle berries, courgettes, onions, beetroots, beans. One of the best day outs this year. Can't wait to go back for some sunflowers and pumpkins later!

Visited the pumpkin patch today as we have done every year for the last 5 years, loved the patch and there were so many different lovely pumpkins to pick as usual, we were happy with that part of the trip. The problem came when paying for our pumpkins and the staff handling it all. I had my young daughter with me and my younger sister who’s only 12, she put her pumpkins through and went to pay, she had a shock when 7 pumpkins came to £25, so being only young asked if she could a few out to lower the cost which was met with rolled eyes and impatience, she is TWELVE! Anyways she lowered her price down to £14 and paid. My pumpkins, all 6 pumpkins came £31 which I was fine to pay until I realised I was charged £9 for one of the long ghourds. I got to my car and thought that’s way to much for a vegetable so my sister took it back while I was loading the car. They gave her £5 back when I paid £9. So I then went back to explain and I was greeted with a very aggressive ‘what’s the problem now!’ When I hadn’t even caused an issue at all and was my first time returning after my sister. I am not one to complain or cause a fuss ever, and I have never been spoken to like that in my life. The man sizing up the pumpkins was incredibly rude not only to me but to my 12 year old sister. He wouldn’t accept our explanation and neither would the extremely rude woman taking payments. If they just listened and were open to hearing our problem then there would be no issue. So we had to go to another staff member who was so lovely and helpful, the gentleman manning the car park, who then solved our problem and got our money back that we were under refunded. Such a drama for nothing because of two rude people. It was so embarrassing and I’m put off ever returning.

It's the first time I've been here to pick your own pumpkin/marrow.My daughter and her family have been a few times and have raved about it, so I thought I'd see how I fair! There are signs on the approach so you know where to turn in, and there are plenty of parking places, disabled spaces are at the front area near the coffee shack! You just get a pull along trolly of your choice and meander to the pumpkin patch, be warned that it is a bit boggy with mud as we have had rain, and it is a farmers field. The ground is uneven from the tractor treads, so anyone with mobility problems needs to be very careful! My elderly mum came with me, and she used a walking stick as well as my arm for balance! You can spend as long as you want on the fields, and then you take your haul to the weigh and pay barn. They take cash or card payments! If you look at the pictures I put up, I spent £17 for my cart, I did get a lot as I picked to cook, not carve and display! We got 2 coffees from the hut for £3 each, 1 latte, and 1 americano, which warmed us up, and the coffee was nice. You could get coffee and a cake for £5.Overall, there were plenty of pumpkin varieties to choose from, and I will definitely come again. I did have my wellingtons to change into, and i would suggest footwear that you don't mind getting mucky!

We had a lovely morning this Saturday at Hootons PYO, there is a surprising amount still left to pick at this time of year. We were given a map of which crops are available - I took my 5 and 2 year old and we spent about 90 minutes picking strawberries, raspberries, broad beans and courgettes. We paid just over £10 in total so very inexpensive for freshly picked veg. We don't make it to the maize maze as the kids were flagging, but we'll definitely be back
