They are funded by vivid housing. In fact vivid housing were compiling questionnaires that they were asking all new clients/ members of the public to fill out in order to determine mental health issues a few years back. The one in Fareham even had one of their managers on vivids board. I remember talking to the guy and him claiming that he had never heard of any disrepair not being carried out by vivid in their rental properties or any claims that vivid staff were bullies causing mental health issues in n their tenants. It's disgusting that they would cover up theses things and allow vivid to play apart in their charity in order for them all to appear like pillar's of the community in public. Even mind are not mental health experts.

Had politely contacted this organisation few years back for help for my mentally ill brother for advocacy, no help given! It seems a joke, even concerned tweets on Twitter are ignored, wondering is it worth asking such places for help?Where does the mental act, Carers act, all these strategies fit with this Charity?Do they apply these to people or it’s only for some and not for all that qualify.

Imca appointment of my father. This so called charity that suggest that they have the best interest of my father and that they liaise with the family is a joke, they visited my father left a leaflet, when he as no capacity to understand when i called to speak with them and ask for Julia Noyce to call me back I have had no response, they failed to attend a best interest meeting with social services and now insisting that they may have to re access him, together with adult service they have minuplated and left a 74 year old wife in complete distress, we had hoped that if independent then the family would at the very lease been consulted. I hate the fact my father is treated in this condition and the is just a number and the fact he is elderly and the best option is to put him somewhere just to die and hopefully the problem will just go away, this is not further help by the way they collude with adult services and the NHS

Reverting to the comment below. I do remember these people refused to give me the copy of discussion and any report of advocacy to be carried out for my brother in law. I feel these people are scared to challenge govt. this is for sure they don’t do good to people who are in real need. This is total eye wash. I feel the govt. spend so much money on these charities for not helping the genuine and waste their time and efforts. They know that people are so tired that they will give up on their own and sometimes they have no one to represent them. These people do so much pump and show. I doubt they include any family members or persons involved to generate about how well they do. These are self generated reports that they say they are the best. In reality it is a different picture. I saying all because I saw their attitude and never looked at them ever for help or even sympathy what so ever...

the receptionist who i spoke to over the phone at around 2:00pm on 09/06/23 was very rude and blunt towards me when i asked to be put through to a member of the italk team, asking hastily if i’d searched google for their number, and before i could answer, cut across me sarcastically saying, “nope” implying i hadn’t bothered searching for it myself and was wasting her time. I had in fact searched for the service on google, which had given me the number for solent mind head offices. please reconsider her position in regards to handling calls from people with mental health problems, as an attitude like this could be very damaging to somebody who is already in a fragile state. as somebody with mental health problems themselves, this really upset and disappointed me. where is the compassion and basic manners?
