Went for a family lunch where we had a pre-booked table. This was next to the log burner which from the outside smelt lovely. A good range of drinks available as long as you don't want Guinness. The food looked, smelt and taste was amazing with good and fast table service. The views out of the window over the valley are stunning, last time we visited we sat in the garden, however this time it was raining.Superb desserts, toilet facilities were spotless and well equipped. The only negative we noticed that was when customers weren't being served all three barstaff stood engrossed in their mobile phones.

Interesting pub with great views. Called in for lunch. Good selection of burgers and sandwiches. Food was hot and tasty and the staff were friendly. There is probably more outdoor seating than indoors here, but we had no problem finding a table when we visited during the week.If you can't park right outside, there is a large parking bay just a little further up the road (near the war memorial) which is only a couple of minutes' walk back to the pub.

Very friendly staff, lovely place, old fashioned but in a great way. The views from the outdoor tables on to the valley ate amazing, but was raining the day I visited.I only had a cafetiere coffee and was very nice (£2.50, May 2022), bathroom clean with lovely wall murals, very nice overall, would definitely visit again.

Great pub with a good selection on tap, serving decent grub. Very friendly, hospitable staff. Wonderful views across the valley, over Woodchester and towards May Hill in the distance!

Quality little pub with fantastic views of the Woodchester valley, food was excellent and timely, and good selection of drinks too. Staff are helpful and friendly and plenty of tables available. Parking can be tricky as there is no car park but would definitely recommend

Great find. Will be back; and next time in numbers. Friendly barman, decent menu, quick service. Lovely beer garden with a beautiful view over the rolling hills and houses of Gloucestershire.

I was fortunate enough to come across this lovely pub during a sunny Sunday walk. We arrived with just minutes before lunch service would finish at 4 pm. Unfortunately, the roasts were sold out by then, so booking in advance is advised. We opted for a buffalo chicken burger, which was delicious. Washed down with a cool larger sitting at the table outside in the beer garden, looking over Woodchester. Left very happy and will visit again with friends and will book head to try the Sunday roast.

Lovely, (very) family friendly pub with absolutely stunning views. Brilliant garden area for children, filled with outdoors toys to occupy them. The baby changing area has nappies and wipes - really lovely touch. Great selection of local drinks and food and staff are really friendly too. Views out back are gorgeous. Recommend it if you’re in the area, whether for kids or not.
