Woolton Carpets

Competitive prices for carpets. Fitting is charged as an extra, which is paid to the fitters. We knew this and didn't have a problem. Steve and his mate fitted ours and they were very quick and could not fault them.

I have used Woolton Carpets on more than one occasion over the years, however my recent experience has left a bitter taste. I had vinyl flooring fitted in 5 areas downstairs in my home. One area has developed a yellow staining all around the edges, nowhere else and not in any of the other rooms. An engineer came out, he couldn’t understand it either, commented on how well the vinyl had been maintained and why was this the only are affected. He said that he would have to contact the manufacturers. Four weeks later I had to contact Woolton Carpets, I was told they would try and contact the manufacturers and get back to me. A couple of days later I received a covering letter from them to say my complaint was closed as the manufacturers found no manufacturing problems. The ‘manufacturers’ A and A Carpets have accepted no responsibility, saying that vinyl will only change colour when the vinyl is becoming damp, indicating moisture either under the vinyl reacting with the backing causing the top surface to defect or has reacted with cleaning agent. The engineer from Woolton Carpets (who was really nice by the way) never mentioned any of the above things. Nobody from the manufacturers has been to inspect the vinyl, all the vinyl downstairs is cleaned exactly the same way, but it is only this one area this has affected. I’m not really sure on how the ‘manufacturers’ have reached this decision without viewing. Now the ‘manufacturers’ will not respond to my emails. I have today contacted an independent flooring inspector. I had asked for my bathroom and toilet to be measured up for vinyl there, when the Engineer came out, this will not be happening now.This has just left a bitter taste.

Our intial visit was very pleasant and swift. The staff were very kind and made us feel at home and easily found us the carpet we needed for our stairs and landing.This fitters did an excellent job, only reason for not 5 star was they didn't clean up so I had to sort that myself when I thought it was part of my purchase. I don't mind too much as the carpet is EXCELLENT!

Fitted new stairs and landing carpet last September. The whole service from picking a carpet, coming out to measure it and then the fitting were excellent. Have used Woolton Carpets for nearly 50 years and will happily continue to use them. Well done chaps, keep up the good work.

Whilst quality of carpet seems good and the fitters were very good (and all the staff friendly) we feel we were misled on the fitting fee. Left shop having a receipt which said paid in full. Then told once carpet was fitted that the fitting fee was extra and not included in the price. Sales assistant needs to be clearer as they wanted cash for fitting fee and we were not aware :(

Fantastic service, held my flooring in store until builder was ready to fit it, delivered when needed, flooring is top quality and really competative price.

Floored my whole house with Woolton carpets recommended by my auntie who has always used them over the years. Carpets and wooden floor and they’re still going strong. Great prices great service and very down to earth and trustworthy, fitters an all. will be returning soon fancy a change.

I've used these guys several times and each time never an issue. Safe convenient parking. Great selection of really good quality carpets etc. Great prices.What I really like? You can browse without an over eager salesperson breathing down your neck . Lots of very helpful experienced sales people there ready to help you but you don't feel pressured at any time.If you've not been, give them a try. I won't go anywhere else and I am really fussy.
