Louis Santos Tattoo Studio Leeds

I had the pleasure of spending 2 sessions with Louis completing my tattoo. I came with a design idea and we spent a few hours creating something that worked artistically and was meaningful to me and that I liked. Louis' customer service is outstanding. I immediately felt at ease and was able to talk and discuss not only the tattoo but also many other interesting topics and conversations throughout the process. Louis' skilful artistry combined with his patience and focus means I have a beautiful piece of art on my body I will cherish for many many years. He also gave helpful advice on how to develop a tattoo I already have on my shoulder and I am very excited to get underway with this as a new project with him.

I have had my final session today after 3 years of Louis painstakingly and patiently working on a huge cover up (both full sleeves, chest piece and back piece) I was lucky enough to chance a phone call to louis after I’d visited many tattoo studios who all told me there was nothing that could be done. My tattoos were terrible deep black tribal that I got whilst I was younger. My tattoos made me very self conscious and depressed, so much so that I wouldn’t even wear a t shirt in the height of summer through embarrassment. That’s where Louis comes in, with his natural optimistic mind and willingness to help he gave me a lifeline and so my journey began. Fast forward to today you’d never know any of my tattoos were a cover up.That’s how good he is. Louis is an incredibly talented tattooist who is passionate, professional, dedicated and hardworking as well as funny, kind, understand and an all round great guy. If I can give anyone else out there hope when they feel like their tattoo choice in the past is hopeless please give Louis a message or a call, he works miracles. Again Mr Santos thank you for your hard work, belief, creativity and for being my friend over the past 3 years. I wish you nothing but the best for your future.

I had my first tattoo with Louis, and have more booked. The experience was really good from discussing ideas and talking about what I wanted to get to the final tattoo. He helped me bring my ideas to life and gave me great advice on how to look after my tattoos so they look good forever. The price was very reasonable, the studio is comfy and a friendly environment, and above all the tattoo quality and end product was perfect. Thanks Louis for everything! Would 100% recommend to anybody.

I first met Louis over 10 years ago when he did an Egyptian piece on my leg, fast forward a decade and I contacted him about doing another Egyptian piece but this time it would be a cover up on my lower back.We had a consultation (that lasted a a few hours chatting away about Egyptology, mythology, science, life, history...the list goes on) discussed what was possible with the cover up and decided on quite a big piece of the egyptian goddess Ma'at.I left Louis to draw up the design, his work is very distinct, he has developed his own style over the years refining his drawing (and painting) skills - So you know you're going to get a great custom piece.I have now had 4 sessions, each one between 6-8hours. The hours fly by, you are made to feel very welcome in the studio, there is always great and interesting conversation (plus he doesn't mind putting the F1 on). Taking breaks and having a stretch if you need to is never a problem, there are sweets if you need a little sugar boost and the guys always offer beverages.My old tattoo was scarab wings with a sun disc, heavy on blues and reds with lots of detail, I initially thought it was too big and had way too much line work to be covered, I didn't dislike the old tattoo design, just the execution wasn't the best and having it fixed wouldn't have been an option, laser removal or a cover up were my only choices.We discussed putting another set of scarab wings over the top but because of how the individual feathers are laid out it wouldn't have been possible, so we switched to using the goddess Ma'at. Louis takes into consideration the importance of the design and works with you to make sure you get a perfect piece whilst also advising on what will/will not work in cover ups.It's not an overnight fix, it takes time to cover tattoos, especially big ones, but trust the process and listen to the advice given and the finished result will be a beautiful piece of art.With a huge respect for the tradition of tattooing, you are in great hands with Louis. His books are very busy but his work is worth the wait. He works in Leeds and Manchester and does his best to accommodate you. A great guy and an excellent tattooist.

Louis is an amazing artist, I’ve gone to him for 4 of my big pieces and he does a fantastic job every time. He’s my number one go to for a tattoo in Leeds, follows all the direction and is able to complete exactly what I ask for, while also trusting him to design it all. Couldn’t recommend him enough at all. Thank you for all your work ♥️

After an extensive search for a tattooartist using the means of social media I messaged Louis. His Instagram page showcased the various different types of art and the quality was amazing. Louis replied and we set up a consultation. 2 hours later Louis and I came up with many different ideas and 3 years later I have had many sittings with him. I wouldn’t use any other tattoo artist, the quality he has produced in every tattoo represents his passion for his profession. One of Louis key qualities is his creativity - this is something I lack and he has an abundance of it. His imagination has helped create several masterpieces for me. Another key quality I was looking for when selecting a tattoo artist was communication. Louis people skills are excellent. He will give me his honest feedback about any ideas I have and likewise he accepts constructive feedback from me. We have developed a good working relationship - he is very serious when it comes to delivering the best results but he also likes to have a laugh. He is a knowledgable guy, I always come away learning something new. He also provides entertainment in the form of TV/music to help distract you from the pain. I would recommend Louis Santos to anyone who is looking for a tattoo artist.

Had a portrait photo of my Dad which means a lot too me. Louis was really comforting and made me feel welcome.The work he did is phenomenal. I highly recommend Louis what an unbelievably talented guy and great person. 100% recommend to anybody
