Ashley is an amazing bike mechanic - he has been looking after my bikes for many years - and also teaches bike maintenance classes which I would highly recommend for anyone who cycles! I had a 1-2-1 session with him before a cycle tour last year and learnt lots of pro tips and gained confidence in being able to sort out small bike issues on the road myself.

Rude, condescending, arrogant. Shocked to read a single positive review because he was so vile to me. I took my bike in for a service and the whole experience was unpleasant. Have sine had my bike serviced at a lovely local business elsewhere who were kind and friendly. There are better, friendlier businesses nearby

I've been getting my bikes fixed and serviced here for some years now and would highly recommend it. Ashley is always helpful and professional - he is very experienced and really seems to know his stuff. He serviced my bike before I rode from Land's End to John O Groats and I didn't have a single issue the whole trip!

I got knocked off my bike by a van and my frame was bent. I took my vintage road bike to Brockley Bikes to be repaired and experienced excellent service. Both the guys were really helpful (in particular Ashley) and went over and above what I expected. They were also really great at keeping in touch with me via email about what was going on with my bike and keeping me updated on the costs involved. I was also really impressed with the price which was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to my friends.

I honestly don't like leaving bad reviews, but any review is equally important.Reading now all bad reviews, they all have in common our experience today:* Shared expectation/ conditions around drop time were not provided in advance and customers are turn away (unfairly)* Better communication skills are required as staff come across as unpleasant, unprofessional and unhelpful. After all this is a professional establishmentI will personally avoid this bike shop as I found a more friendly one near by that were happy to help us.

The nicest bike mechanic I’ve met. I’ve always used chain stores (Evans, Chain Reaction) but never had the care and attention shown like Ashley did today. Seems like a lot of the bad reviewers were looking for a handout and should be ashamed. You should be supporting local business, not shaming them for not providing you with a free service.

They've serviced my road bikes several times (commuter and carbon fibre). They always do a great job. They replaced a broken bike rack under warranty without any bother. Also gave me some useful tips on ride position etc. They know what they are talking about. Competitively priced with other shops but always good value. I wouldn't go to an Evans or Cycle Surgery as you'll end up with a spotty teenager with a meccano set rather than trustworthy bike technician.
