They seem friendly until they don’t tell you the price and charge 120 pounds to alter your suit. Let out the seems and lift the pants an inch, 120 pounds. Absolutely ludicrous. First review I’ve ever done that’s how much of a joke this was. Stop over charging people!

Got a zip replaced for a jacket. Was quoted £30 initially- however, price was £45 when I came back to collect.I note from the reviews that a previous customer was quoted a cheaper price of £25 for a zipper replacement for a jacket(but was charged more on collection).I don’t think I can trust these guys and I won’t be coming back again.

I had my trousers (from a reiss suit), a top and a summer dress made from fine material altered. I cannot recommend a better service. The trousers fit perfectly when I came back for them, the top was altered a little bit on spot due to misunderstanding (I noticed the tailor to even use a magnifying glass when removing the stitches) and the dress also fit perfectly. I don't understand why the reviews are so bad as I only have had a positive experience and I was actually referred to use this service by an acquaintance. There is a great attention to detail and a professional service.

Great Service when open! Just travelled from Fife to drop of 4 garments for repair and alteration only to find it closed at 11.45 on a Sunday. Opening hours shown as 9am to 7pm.

Needed the arms and legs shortened on my suit. Polite and professional service. Just picked the suit up today, great work at a really good price (£40). Again was treated with a kind and professional service.

Been using this place for years. Will not do so again. They use a dodgy paper-based cash-in-hand system. They messed up their own records and ended up accusing me of not paying for a series of repairs. That was a very good way to lose a loyal customer.

Tried to go in mid day on a sunday, looked open and had lights on, the door was locked and no one picked up the phone. No note on the door to suggest they were out for lunch. Went to Emiy’s tailoring instead.

AVOID. I had trousers taken up. It was done with tape and fell apart in 3 weeks. I also had dry cleaning done. I needed it for the day I was told it would be ready. I arrived after 3pm and it hadn't been delivered. Eventually they agreed to go get it for me. I had to wait around while they went and got it for over an hour. They still demanded full price. I like to give custom to small independent businesses but ones like this spoil it for all. Not only are they dearer but also not reliable.

The man who owns this shop is a magician with a sewing machine! I asked him to tailor a suit which was far, far too big for me - basically, the trousers needed to be totally remade using the original fabric. He did an exceptionally good job, and my suit is now perfect in every way. This service was expensive, but good value for money taking the extent of work into account. He was actually recommended to me by the staff at Reiss on Multrees Walk, and I think his reputation is very well deserved.
