Albyn Hospital

The care I received was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, in good humour and nothing was too much trouble. Although the ward was busy, there were no signs of staff being stressed. They were very respectful and laid back. My stay at The Albyn Hospital, has restored my faith in the health care community.

Every person I met was kind and patient, they took the time to ask how I was, take a thorough medical history, and preempt anything going wrong. I was fully informed at all stages, I had loads of opportunities to ask questions, I met everyone involved in my operation and I really feel that my health and safety was paramount at all times, as well as the results I was wanting from my procedure. I’d like to give a massive shoutout to the nurses in the treatment room in building 24 on Friday 10th afternoon, I freaked out a little at the thought of having the stitches taken out but they were so supportive and kind and patient. Honestly, I’ve had the best treatment and now I’m just looking forward to my swelling and bruising going away.

Attentive and very friendly staff!I postponed my surgery for so many years and so glad that I did it at Albyn hospital. The whole experience was very smooth and professional. Wouldn't have minded to get pampered by the staff a bit longer. Thank you for the amazing experience!

All my nurses from the minute I went in and met with Faye to the moment I left were lovely chatty and put me at ease. Everything I needed they got for me and I honestly couldn’t of had better people around me my surgeon Dr Ahmed was fantastic start to finish and the young student nurse that help me sort myself out in the morning was caring and compassionate

All the nurses and other staff were really nice to me. Always making sure I was ok before and after the surgery. My only questions are about my surgery which will be discussed with my doctor in a few weeks. But overall I had a good staying at Albyn. Thank you.

I found all the staff at Albyn really pleasant and helpful. Explaining everything, checking on me post procedure regularly and getting me a much needed coffee and toast!!! The nurses in recovery were great and we had a lovely little chat whilst I was coming round from the anaesthetic.

I felt I was in great hands from start to finish & very much appreciated the care shown. Everyone from the consultant, ward team & theatre team did their very best to provide fantastic care. The physiotherapists were also fantastic & really worked hard to get me mobile & discuss any worries. Having such a great, knowledgeable, caring & welcoming team really does put a very stressful situation at ease - The team at the Albyn is second to none.

Recently required a procedure.Cant thank everyone working there enough. Outstanding quality of service. From initial consultation to all those involved in procedure, the after care etc. Just great from start to finish. Had a fever which came on after I got home, support available over the phone was second to none, I was readmitted for observation and again the level of support and care throughout the night was amazing. Thanks to everyone that cared for me from start to finish.

The care I was given during my stay at Albyn was second to none. From the moment I arrived I was guided and reassured. Every single person I came into contact with was so kind and efficient. The medical team were outstanding. I could not have had better care.

Following my first procedure I sent two emails asking for clarity on the need for a second procedure. I received no response and therefore felt the care was substandard.I called on the day to check my appointment time only to find out the appointment was not in the diary. I was told I'd be called back and after 2hours waiting in my car, I called back to find no one had looked into it. The second person I spoke with told me it was booked in, then changed there mind and then told me Dr Rajpara was out of office and I should call back another time. I explained I had travelled 150 miles for the operation and the person on the phone did not seem to care and was very rude about the whole thing.I asked to be put through to Susan Smith who was very nice and told me I could come in at 1.30 to be seen.I did so and waited in reception for about an hour before Dr Rajpara came to explain there had been a mix up and he would try to see me.I was sitting in reception for around 4 hours all in. I hadn't eaten and no one from the reception staff even acknowledged me after waiting for so long I would have expected an offer of a drink or food at least. They offered me nothing and ignored me.I am happy with the service Dr Rajpara offered but the booking process failed me and the staff supporting the booking process failed me as a patient.Unless forced to, I would not use Albyn hospital again in the future as there were a number of signs that indicated to me that patient awareness, fears of the patient and general good practice of care were not at the forefront of all staff.
