A little bit of history but nothing too much to look at here. You can go inside the building but only into the ground floor. There are stairs going up the tower but there closed off with a padlocked gate which is a shame. Some old graves withing the grounds and a few information boards with a bit of history on them.

Great historical spot. If you like ruins then stop here as it has some great history and depictions of what the abbey would have looked like.

Just a mile's walk from Stirling station, Cambuskenneth Abbey is well worth a visit. Beautiful peaceful location and great views to the Wallace Monument in the distance. The site is well maintained.

Lovely Abbey. Glad I went to see it. You can get into the lower level of the tower but the stairs are blocked off to upper levels. Ruin out the backnlooks onto water. A window in that ruin look over to Wallace Monument.

Lovely building, be sure to come on a sunny day and make sure that you visit when the gates are open for the season. Decent views of the Stirling Castle and Wallace monument as well from afar.

Amazing how much history in one place. Worth a visit to see the actual layout of the monastery although not much of it has survived. The actual bell tower wasn't open when we visited

The Bell Tower is still standing and is quite a beautiful old building. Sadly, the abbey itself is just ruins now. There are many plaques around to tell what each area is believed to have been. You can only visit Cambuskenneth Abbey between April and September. Whilst it would be far more pleasant to visit on a bright sunny day, we still enjoyed walking around in the light rain we had the day we went there.
