Vital Health and Wellbeing at Crutherland

We booked in for the spa afternoon and whilst there were good elements, it would be very hard to recommend it. It ultimately felt like trying to hold a yoga retreat in the middle of a kids' birthday party. Not exactly relaxing.Pros- Reasonable price- Excellent staff- Good treatments- Tasty afternoon teaCons- There were children everywhere, taking over the pool and generally being loud excitable kids. They had not even sectioned off a lane in the pool for spa day visitors, so it wasn't possible for most of our visit to even swim a length of the pool, and we were splashed by people jumping in to the pool while we were on the lounge beds by the pool. A child was watching a loud video on an ipad for ten minutes of the afternoon tea- The pool area was unbearably hot and there weren't enough lounge beds at points- The facilities are very tired. Overflowing shower trays, broken lockers, pool steps out of use so we had to lift ourselves out the pool on the side so not very accessible either- The sauna and steam room were just not hot. The steam room was especially poor - I could read a sign several metres away clear as day. There simply wasn't any actual steam- There was one size of dressing gown, meaning we were flashing everyone at afternoon tea!- My booking said I'd receive a phone call to arrange our treatment times. I waited a couple of days and heard nothing, then had to call several times with the phone ringing out for several minutes. I eventually emailed and someone called back. I then got a call the next day and received conflicting information about our arrival time too, and eventually we confirmed we had an hour less than anticipated

Real problem here. If I say how good it is we might be crowded out!?

Recently joined the gym to get a bit healthier, staff are friendly & areas are always clean.
