City Centre Aquabus Pier

The Aquabus falls short of expectations.As a mode of transport, it's infrequent and unreliable. The price is high and the return rates on the website were not honoured on board.As a sightseeing experience it's underwhelming and nothing more than a bit of urban greenery and some open water.It is a perfectly pleasant trip if there is nothing else to do but with so much room for improvement the service is overall lacking.

Waited for the boat to arrive, which was 15 minutes late, only for less than half of the queue to be allowed to board. I understand reduced capacity due to Covid restrictions, but there were no signs to indicate the capacity (in which case we would have known not to wait) nor apologies for the delay or lack of signage, just a very rude member of staff.

Badly run service arrived late then took only half the capacity noted on the signs meaning we we left behind. I understand the need to reduce capacity for covid but please post that you are doing so so we understand when waiting!

IF YOU ARE ASIAN, DO NOT BOTHER. Racist lady would NOT let me on even though we got there in plenty of time and the boat was not even there yet. We got told a sob story of “I will lose my license by that lady watching me from up there if I let you on.” We then saw her let 7 other caucasian people people on after refusing us access. (2 white girls, an iranian and a hijabi). And she said they got on because their watch said it was 16:30 even though we were there 5minutes before them and got refused. She then argued that OKAY THEN GET ON but if we lose our license then it’s on you. RUINED MY EXPERIENCE OF WALES AND CARDIFF - I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. THANK YOU VERY MUCH AQUABUS LADY WHO SAID THAT MY BOAT IS NOT EVEN FULL, WHY WOULD I NOT WANT CUSTOMERS??? .... thanks for rubbing it in!! You ruined my day!

Not possible to confirm service or times

Nice little boat ride to Cardiff Bay. Cheap price of £4 per ticket with a nice view on the way there.It is a shame it is cash only. The motor is loud and not the best of background noise.

Aquí se cogen los barcos que llevan a la bahía de Cardiff. Los hay cada media hora desde las 10 de la mañana y los billetes cuestan 4£ para adultos y 2£ para niños.

It worth to take the bus boat to Cardiff bay

Boat was on time and got us from City to the bay, if its wet, bring a brolly or coat while you wait as there is no shelter and the trees don't provide any shelter! On a nice day you can sit in Bute park while you wait and watch the world pass you by.
