Lovely staff & a real adventure for kids - the place itself is old - 1970’s feel…!It’s got modern new abseiling tower & zip line - they also have ‘jungle vines’ (high ropes), archery & challenge course.Old classrooms have been converted into large children’s bedrooms with 7 bunk beds around the sides & a block of ‘storage’ in the middle. Although our school only had a few girls sharing this room - I imagine with 14 it would be fairly manic! The toilets & showers are not part of the room - the children access these down the corridor.Teachers bedroom is pictures below, these are ensuite. As a school we liked the design of having your own living area that connected to your own dinning room.Large playground & field for free time.Electric gates secure the site. The staff went above & beyond.Food was delicious & plenty of it!

Went to Kingswood with a school group in Staffordshire. We stayed for a week. Jake who was our team leader was brilliant. He took his time to get to know the children and was very accommodating. He understood the needs of the children and supported them throughout each activity. This base is much smaller in comparison to the one in Kent and is definately more ideal for primary children as the zip wire and leap of faith are not as high as the one in Kent. Staff located at the base are brilliant and always happy to help.

Honest review...activities were good and staff really good with the kids, especially when they were scared. Accommodation needs an upgrade, beds tiny, the lights in the adult bathrooms don't go off! Great to have the teachers retreat with tea, milk and biscuits. Massive downside was the food. It was truly terrible. Breakfast marginally better than dinner

Thank you Kingswood and a massive thank you should go to Callum and Tom for making Shirley Heath School so welcome and Tom who made my son's week so special for letting him tip the water over his head. Again Thanks Tom. Two great guys who Kingswood should be proud of. From Mr Boswell, Jay's Dad.

This was a great place for our school residential for 2 nights and 3 days. The instructors were amazing, they were great with the kids and really friendly. The food was good a vegetarian and halal food option with salad bar.Activities were great especially the more challenging ones like zip wire, abseilljing, jacobs ladder and crate stack. Some great opportunities for the children to do some team building. The only down side was the accomadation wasn't as good as expected the toilet rooms were a bit smelly and there were no air conditioning facilities. Lots of dragon flys and creepy crawlies.Overall it was a great place the timetable packed out with activities. The children had an amazing time.

Booked as a group through Every Little Helps CIC. We did climbing, zip line, camp fire, indoor group games and laser tag. Kids enjoyed every thing and wanted to stay longer! Adrian our groups team leader was really engaging and helpful to meet our groups needs. Gave us plenty of options even though we were a small group and had some children with Sen. This is a back to school experience and gets kids in a good place to learn self help skills, nurtures listening and teamwork. We stayed on the ground floor.

Feedback received from child who was on a retreat there for a few nights. Whilst the facilites was good she didn't appreciate the quantity and quality of food. She felt hungry most of the time. She liked the kind person in the tuck shop though quality of food was not really healthy. She thinks staff maning the courses were not helpful. busy talking to each other when they should be watchful and can be rude in tone" Didn't give a resounding yes to returning another year. Only time will tell when memory fades. She wishes she had taken ear plugs to cut out the snoring in the dormitory and a pair of slippers for the showers. For me as a parent I didn't get to explore the grounds. Access to Kingswood was done a narrow lane approach to a large electronic gate requiring you to call a mobile phone or the reception directly to have the gate open. Upon entering and leaving on drop off and pickup: the grounds were neat and tidy
