Pets at Home Southend

They are always so kind and wonderful to my dog Buddy, he loves going there for his grooms and comes out looking so handsome.

We visited as we had booked in their free pet in the summer experience. Gareth was fab, and the children really enjoyed getting to learn about and stroke the animals

I uset to love this shop but all of a sudden there is hardly any stock in the shop. Everything I wanted was out of stock. Glad I got them from the store online as I'm sure the 2 items I ordered would have been out of stock too. Hurry up and get back to full shelves again has been very disappointing the last few times I've been there.

Took our daughters dog for a new harness/lead. The guy who served us was extremely helpful. Had so much patience with a boisterous 8 month old pup. Didn't get his name but he deserves this praise.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with customer service! Brown hair lady with piercing and false eyelashes who works in the fish department, at 1pm Saturday 3rd June, kept rudely interrupting my dad when he was trying to tell her about our fish tank, and when my dad was trying to say to her the reason we need new fish she called my dad rude and stormed away from us. And before helping us we overheard her snapping at a child for going near a fish tank while bagging one up. We won’t be returning to this store and did not want to keep shopping and returned our items we would’ve happily bought before this encounter with her.

Dreadful shop for cats; over priced and very little choice. Phoned them today on the number above having found the exact shop on Google maps, I asked in they had cat probiotics in stock; they told me they had two types in stock. When I drove over there I was told they had none in stock and I was rudely told that I had phoned the wrong store, and they had no record of a phone call. I will never use this rubbish store again, one can get much better service and goods online.

Carlo the vet is amazing! The array of products is fantastic and prices are definitely reasonable. A must go to place for all your pet needs!

Occasionally good for pet information and products. Rabbit housing in store needs a complete rethink. Rabbits should live in enclosures at least 3 meters wide by 2 metres in length and at least a meter in height. The rabbits needs are not met and they are forced to exist in small, confined boxes, until a passerby buys them and takes them home.

This review is not related to their products or Vets4Pets service but their staff. Upon arriving home after visiting several stores at the Southend Airport retail park, I discovered that I had dropped my receipt and order information for a large purchase I had made in the Dreams store next door to Pets at Home. I called Pets at Home, explained where I thought I had dropped the receipt, and staff member Jo very kindly found it for me and delivered it back to the staff at Dreams next door. Thanks Jo! I really appreciate your help. You're a star.
