Site of an ancient, fort as well as the addition of a German field gun put there in the 1920s, what's not to like. We found it best to park on the old road between Lady Milford's Bridge and Erwood. There's some lay-bys next to the start of the path up to the gun, while passing the farm beware, there may be people watching you from the barn windows. Ha ha, if you know, you'll know.

World War 1 German field howitzer on Twyn y Garth (a.k.a Gun Hill), a hillfort at Erwood in Mid-Wales. The views from the hill are stunning.

Nice place to take a walk there's is a good view from here and it has a nice story why the gun is here

We loved it here. A litte difficult to get to, we weren't sure where to park so ended up parking safely on the road(grsss verge) then walking up. It was lovely to see with beautiful views of the surrounding areas. My 5 year old loved it too.

Fantastic views. A little difficult to get to but well worth the effort. The gun was placed here as a tribute and it is rumoured it points at the front door of the pub in Erwood!

Beautiful views of Erwood and the Wye Valley. Lots of lovely walks to the gun from surrounding area.
